What People Say

In summary

The Golf Club at Vistoso is appreciated for its scenic layout, set against the backdrop of the Santa Catalina and Tortolita Mountains, offering a challenging and visually appealing course. Guests often commend the friendly staff and well-maintained amenities like the driving range and practice greens. However, some visitors express concerns about the slow pace of play, inconsistent course conditions, and customer service issues, particularly regarding management's handling of tee times and dress codes.

I am so sad for this course. I love playing here and its 2 blocks from my house. I played this course for the last time today. I hope some one reopens this place.

Nice course. Bunkers are typical of Tucson. Grass tee driving range. Practice greens. Bit challenging route. Friendly staff. Good clubhouse. Worth a try. This course was closed in June and may or may not reopen. Apparently water was the issue (the cost of water) but regardless, last time I saw it only the greens were being watered - otherwise it was shuttered.

Played with my wife and two gentlemen. Course was in great shape. The pace of play was very fast. The natural area in front of all tees required a very long drive. Anyone that cannot drive in the air over 50+ yards of brush off the tee, should find another course to play.

Play this course every year - while the scenery is fantastic the staff in the clubhouse today was rude and pretty non-helpful. Don’t tell me a collar is required dress policy for my 13yr old when I get there after booking a tee time. And don’t tell me, “I’ll let it slide,” only after I tell you my son is Autistic and has sensory issues (Debbie). I work in retail and support over 15 doors - I’ve seen better manners from 20 yr olds. As far as the course - it’s okay. Greens were rough and spotty (can be best described as camouflage), sand traps were hard with the fringe areas around the traps sc…

Course is nice, staff is friendly, but management needs to do something about overbooking tee times. No etiquette is enforced, it took us over FIVE HOURS to golf 15 holes. We paid for 18 but ended up leaving early and frustrated. I will not be returning.

Spectacular layout on the course! The greens we fast and hard to putt with the ups and downs on the greens. The desert will eat up your balls, be sure to take extra. Driving range, putting green, chipping area are excellent. Staff is very help full and the cart lady will get you food and bring it back to you! 👍😎

Having played this course since 1999 I have watch the slow decline of this once wonderful golf course. The tee boxes are for the most part uneven and not manicured or even remotely taken care of, the fairways were dry and brown in several areas, the greens looked like a war zone but did not putt that bad but need lots of TLC and $$$$ to bring them back, they seem to be mostly poana. The bunkers do not have any sand in them and when we played they were pretty much compacted mud. The overall appearance of the course was that of a not very well maintained muni course. I will not waste my time of…

Wedding Reception-Janet and her staff were so helpful in helping us plan our big day. Everything was so easy and care free and the night ended up being EXACTLY what we imagined and more. Janet even recommended some beautiful photo spots and our pictures turned out AMAZING! I would HIGHLY recommend Vistoso for any type of event. It is a beautiful venue, very affordable and the whole staff is sweet and accommodating. Thanks for all your help JANET!!!!!! You're the best.

This is a gorgeous course, very beautiful and well maintained. My criticism is almost all of the forward tees have a forced carry of 100 yards or more. It gets worse from the other tee boxes, causing slow play. They don't pair up twosomes, forcing them to be stuck behind foursomes. The employees were rude when asked simple questions about the area. Fees changed daily, based on who answered the phone.

Golfed in a tournament today. Very poorly run by the course. First bad sign was that we were a C group on the first hole, a short par 4. It took us SIX HOURS and 4 minutes to play 18 holes. Management didn't seem to think it was a big deal. Don't bother with any tournaments here!

I have been playing this course since 1999. I played here a few time in the past week - and the experience was outstanding.. Right from the front desk (Mark, Kendall, Jose) were probably the most attentive and helpful that i have ever seen.. they genuinely welcomed you. Then we get to the starters Mark and others who try to help work you in since you are a single.. Then we have the player's assistant on the course.. He did not have to, but out of his way to make sure the 4-somes in front of me allowed me to play through since i was a single.. Finally the when turning the carts in the folks are…

Totally overpriced and customer service is horrible. New owners do not care about golfer/consumers or customer loyalty. Refused to honor $228 worth of tee times vouchers for use in 2015 stating they were not responsible for old owners commitments. I would never play here again and hope all other golfers/consumers abstain from supporting such a blatant disregard for the golfer consumer. The prices that they are charging to play here now are way overpriced. This course is not worth $120 for a round of golf.
