The staff is frequently noted for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While some golfers have experienced issues with pace of play and found the lack of a clubhouse or beverage cart inconvenient, the overall experience is highly regarded, especially for its scenic setting and well-maintained greens.

Playing at The Plantation Course at Edisto was an unforgettable experience! The course is beautifully maintained and perfectly captures the natural beauty of Edisto Island. The layout is both challenging and enjoyable, with scenic marsh views, coastal breezes, and well-placed hazards that keep every hole interesting. The oceanfront finishing holes are absolutely stunning and make for a memorable end to the round. The greens were in great shape, rolling true and fast. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed yet professional. It’s the kind of course where you…

I've played this course a handful of times and I have thoroughly enjoyed it! It's a wonderful resort vacation course. Probably one of the shortest courses in the entire area. Conditions have been good every time I've played here so kudos to the groundskeepers it's not like there's another course on the island. have to go at least to stono ferry or some of the private courses close by if you have the fortune to do so. for under 100 bucks. it's a great round of golf. if you're in the area I would highly recommend it. perhaps hit it on off season when it gets a little more reasonable.

Played here on a cool Friday afternoon and basically had the course to ourselves. What a great layout with stunning views of the ocean and beautiful water features. Course was in great shape and definitely has a good amount of scoring opportunities. Make sure you account for the wind, which can change drastically from one hole to the next. Several times it wasn’t a factor for a couple holes and then I would suddenly hit into a two-club wind on one of the less protected holes. And this is a good course to walk; it’s flat and has short transitions. Even though it’s shorter and a par 70 with no…

I played The Plantation Course a few years ago while on vacation in Edisto. Some great views on the course and while it isn't a long course there are some tight holes and lots of water in play, so it can be challenging. I had some accuracy issues that day and did not score well (lots of water...), but I am looking forward to playing it again this fall!

Definitely NOT the place to play with a large group. We booked 2 tee times for 8 people. 2 of which were girls that weren’t playing. The other 2 guys were just putting because they had never played before. We had all this approved with the pro shop before the round started At NO TIME was anyone waiting on us, rather we were waiting on the group in front of us. At the turn, this lady came out and was extremely rude. She said we cannot be together because of “optics”. She said it looks bad. The fact of the matter is we paid $103 and were waiting throughout the round. We ended up calling it quits…

Hands down best course in the area. A must play for any handicap. Play it every summer for 20 years plus and always play multiple rounds when in the area for vacation.

Beautiful course and challenging. Water on 14 holes and the fairways are tight so take extra balls!

The course is in great shape! Just didn't love the new cart system where you can't tell if you're in the wrong area or not. It's not consistent. They could use more signage.

A beautiful botanical garden in Edisto island. The green marshes extended for acres with pelicans and seagulls flying overhead. It felt great to be an untouched natural beauty like this place.

My grandson and I played this lovely course and truly enjoyed our round. It had poured rain several days prior to our play date so it was cart path only but the course was in great condition. The greens were nice and the staff friendly!! Would love to play again. They had punched the greens earlier but they were almost recovered from that when we played.
