In summary

The Village Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful course layout, well-maintained greens, and scenic setting, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The staff is generally regarded as courteous and accommodating, and the amenities, including the clubhouse and restaurant, receive positive feedback. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and organizational challenges, such as overbooking and cart availability, which can detract from the overall experience.

★★★★★ Beautiful course and layout nestled in the Piney Woods. The greens rolled fast, fairways were in excellent condition, and the bunkers were very well maintained. We played both Rolling Hills and Winged Foot, and each offered a fun and fair challenge. Pace of play was excellent for a Friday — just under 4 hours. The clubhouse and amenities were welcoming and accommodating. Only downside was that we only saw the cart girl once on the front nine, so beverage service was a bit limited during the round. Overall, though, a great experience and definitely worth the trip.

A very good course for a city owned muni. The conditons were excellent. Tee boxes had full grass as well as did all the greens and fairways. No bare spots on the greens and very very few on the tee boxes. The only bare spots on the fairways were from divots. Electric carts have GPS. I'm not a big fan of houses along the fairways on golf courses. but its a planned community course so it is what it is. That aside, all in all - a very enjoyable round

Was my first time golfing there and in general. Scheduled a head of time for a group of 8. Got there and got to the 2nd hole and the ranger came up to us and told us we had to stay separated in groups of 4. Made it to the next hold came back and said we were too slow and taking too long. There was 2 groups of 2 in front of us in the fairway so we could not play so we waited in the side to let the next pair of 2 pass. The ranger then came back and again began to complain about our coolers which he allowed us to have at the very start as well as the club members who were on the course also had c…

Great experience. The course is in good shape. It’s not a private course. It’s in great shape for a semi private course. There were some bare spots on the outer parts of the course, but I really enjoyed this course. Greens were in great shape. I will definitely play here again.

Not sure who the old guy was that was riding around the course, this man absolutely ruined my groups entire day. Kept coming up to our group and parking next to us when we would hit, and drive to our ball and wait for our next hit for about 5 holes. Followed us on every hole and told us new rules to follow and sat and watched. Mind you, we were very respectful pleas our case that people infront of were slow but he didn’t care. We dropped stuff off after the 4th hole and he was sitting at the 5th hole waiting for us. Whoever that is is an absolute clown and ruined our whole day. Won’t come back

I live close by and have played there quite a bit. The last couple of times the starter put me out alone on a busy day, even thoughmy tee time was full. This completely ruins a beautiful day of golf, when you're waiting on almost every shot. There are, from what I can tell, members or regulars that are allowed to run freely with no order, sometimes in groups of five or more.

Nice course and club house. Total of 3 nine hole courses. Well layed out. Narrow fairways. Fast greens. Moderately fast play. Some parts of the course seem better maintained. But overall, nice public course

It’s cool to have a tournament on Saturday but if you don’t have enough carts to accommodate the remainder tee times for the evening maybe close it off. You have ppl waiting 45-1hr for carts to even play. All you can say is sorry and we just have to wait. If that’s the case I would have played somewhere else. Pretty crappy organization for beautiful day of golf we could have had.

Nice course with typically good conditions! They do overbook sometimes it feels like so things move slow given who is in front. Love it being local and workers are always kind. We may blame them for why we ended up with a second dog. 😂 We had boldly declared we’d only go see the dog if we finished 18 holes before sunset (4pm tee time) fully confident that was impossible. Then we pulled up at our tee time… to a CLOSED sign. The rest is history.

We hosted our wedding celebration at the clubhouse, and they did a fabulous job! They made everything so easy for us! The club was well kept and clean, the servers were so friendly and hardworking, and the food was great! If we ever need to host a big event again we will be back for sure! Thank you Kristi, Jenny and the entire clubhouse staff!

Nice course, good conditions. Tight fairways. Had a group of 3 infront of me on 1st 9 holes then a group of 5 (5 carts) 2 groups ahead on back 9 that slowed pace of play a little.
