In summary

Trapp River Golf Course is often praised for its scenic and peaceful setting, with a layout that offers a mix of challenging and open holes, making shot placement crucial. The staff is frequently noted for being friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly regarding fairway conditions and sand traps, as well as the pricing, which some find steep for the experience offered.

Probably the only time I'll ever golf in this area. Here from Ohio for a wedding. Locals referred to this place as a hidden gem & they were not wrong! Course is beautiful & challenging. Not a long course, but shot placement was critical & the key to a successful round at Trapp River. Perfect blend of tight & more open hills. Terrain changed from hole to hole. Staff was awesome, from the people in the clubhouse to the grounds crew. Everyone was friendly & took time to talk with me. Take it from an old golf course employee like me. If you want to know how a course plays, talk to the people who m…

Extremely quiet and peaceful setting. Very enjoyable game. The clubhouse is small and clean. Staff was pleasant. We got the back nine. Lost one ball, found on ball, broke two Ts.

Northern woods course with different play on the 9s. Clubhouse had a very friendly atmosphere with great staff. Nothing for any type of a pro shop area. Greens for the most part were in great shape and rolled all over....and fast. Sand traps had some problems or were under repair on the front 9. I feel the front 9 quality was a little rougher but the back 9 seemed better overall. Terrain was varying all over with many twists and turns to keep positional play important. There were some holes that had roughs or fairway quality concerns but it was more random. Fairways in general had a lot of var…

Played my first round of golf in 18 years here—had a good time overall. Course was decent, but the sticker shock kinda killed the buzz. $100 for 9 holes walking for 2 people and two Hazy Hearted IPAs? That’s a bit steep for a casual outing. Fun, but not something I’ll do often.

The clubhouse is nice but really lacking some basic golf apparel. The course could use a little better maintenance, the long grass is exceptionally overgrown. Fairways were nice. No yardage on the scorecards was kind of odd. I didn't like how many cigarettes were laying on the greens and fairway, needs a stricter watch on that. It's ok for a quick 9.

I generally like this course. However $58 is too much. I only visit once or twice a year for this reason. Last year I visited in late August and Trapp had a fall rate of $42, which is more reasonable and the course was in great shape. I called last week and was quoted a price of $42. When I arrived this week I was told the price was still $58 and was charged that. The fairways are in bad shape. They have been aerated and are cut to their normal short length. With the recent dry spell, they are burning out and every lie is a tight one. The greens are not receptive. I realize it was late Septemb…

We had a large group golfing on Father's Day. A good time was had by all. The course was is great shape. Staff was friendly and helpful. Andy in the bar served up some great beverages after we finished our round of golf. Especially a delicious Bloody Mary. Very nice pro shop with a good selection of clothes and gear.

Sorry, but this course is absolutely awful. I have played this course since the 70's. They've cut down the trees that gave the course definition. The few bunkers they have, no sand, mostly mud. No ball washers or garbage cans. Fairways and greens have never been that great, and that hasn't changed. And worst of all. The green fees are by far the highest of all the public courses in the area. I used to love playing this course, (was in a great weekly league for many years) but not anymore.

Very friendly and courteous staff, course was in great shape. Apparently it is too popular though as we had a foursome in front of us that decided to play like a twelve some. Definitely going back

Trappe River is a fun, professionally-run course. You should have seen #8, prior to Buck's arrival. My opinion, which means so little, Thumbs Up! (P..S. always repair your ball marks and fix your divots.)

The course was somewhat interesting but quite unusual to not have yardage or par for the holes on the score card. Not all holes had markers and the tee boxes were not consistent in color designations. Also regular patreon pick up your ball and lie about doing so when asked.

All of the other reviews must be fake because this was one of the worst golf courses I've ever been to. Every Fairway was almost like driving on the moon with how many craters there were in bumps. All the people other people there were walking and the course took absolutely forever to complete. The greens were up kept horribly and the kid who checked us in lacked enthusiasm. The one pleasurable experience we had was the woman cooking was extremely nice. I would never go here again and I absolutely would not recommend anyone else to go here.
