Wausau Country Club

I had the pleasure of filming a wedding at the Wausau Country Club and the staff was beyond exceptional. There was a bartender named Jenna with glasses whose friendly demeanor and banter lifted the mood of the entire room. A server named Brynn, was exceptionally kind and accommodating and the venue manager Jessica kept everyone on schedule with a smile on her face. 10/10 would recommend.

Valet locked our keys in our car and could have cared less about the problem they created. Then complained asking how long it was going to take to move the care. Extremely unprofessional.

TL DR: The day of our wedding went flawlessly and the food was fantastic. Every encounter before or since has been a disaster. We started looking into the country club when my fiancé suggested it. We walked in to schedule an appointment for a showing of the place and were greeted by smiles and an impromptu walk around of the facility. We found the funds and booked almost immediately. I spoke with the manager about how I was concerned with budget and she told me that there are certainly some options to help keep the budget down but there is a $5000 minimum for food and bevereges. Ate at the club for a wedding reception. They served some very unique pizzas at the request of the bride and groom. Food was great. Wait staff very nice. Bartenders were generous.

Beautifully maintained course and a very kind staff

Overpriced drinks, and the staff isn't too friendly. The food is overpriced also, and mediocre at best. You have to park your car at the bottom of a big hill, and make the strenuous walk back up to the clubhouse.
