In summary

Waikoloa Village Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful setting, with stunning views and a well-designed course that caters to both beginners and experienced golfers. The staff is often highlighted for their friendliness and professionalism, and the course is considered a good value for the price, especially given its location on the island. However, some visitors have noted issues with the bunkers, describing them as gravel rather than sand, and a few have mentioned that the greens can be in rough condition at times.

In my humble opinion, the best bang for your buck on the island. Challenging, yet accessible layout. Good for the beginner and fun for even better players.

Came with my fiancé, aunt, and uncle while visiting home from Texas and drove from Ka’ū for a 10:30am t-time today. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful day on the course. The rental process for clubs / cart went smoothly, and pricing for the green fees, extra riders, club rentals were very reasonable. We all had a blast (even us girls who were just here to tag along), but I cannot stress how great all the employees were to us. On an island surrounded by many many golf courses to choose from, its safe to say that we’ll make t…

beautiful course just like any piece of land on the island so that doesn’t say much. Sand traps are basically gravel, zero sand. Roughs are pretty rough, remind me of the courses i play back in wisconsin which isn’t great. Bring your own water as they give you a cooler but for some reason no water to put in there unless you wanna pay $3 from the cart person. Expensive still for being away from the ocean. Would rather go to Hāpuna to actually feel worth the money i’m spending. Nothing exciting about this course really.

Had a fantastic time golfing this course. The views were completely different than I expected. Incredible Mountain View’s with almost every hole looking at a volcano. It’s the cheapest I found in the area, but the fairways, greens, and tees were in incredible shape.

Amazing golf course with amazing views. There are hints of lava, ocean, and mountain features on this course which made it quite exciting to play. The course was overall very fair, but from the back tees can be challenging. The greens were in good shape and firm, and the grass was overall high quality. The pace of play was great, we played in 4:15 on a Saturday morning round. The staff at the facility was great to my family and I. Lastly, contact Becky if you are interested in bringing a group out or have special requests. She is very professional and my entire party had a blast.

Coach Hayashi is great! If you ever need lessons, ask for Kevin Hayashi. He is very strict on form, and he’ll get you learning golf a lot quicker compared to learning by yourself!

Great place to stay while on vacation. Vacation rentals are well equipped and clean, however a rental car is a must as you are not close to most areas of the island. There is a shopping center for most items and gas station nearby. Haupuna beach is 15 min. away by car, Hilo 1 hour and Kona 45 min.

Absolutely excellent service! Chase in the pro shop went over and above all expectations and made our daily visits to the golf course, the best ever! Baron had our bags loaded before we even checked in, cooler full of ice & fresh fruit to boot! I would recommend the course to anyone visiting the area. Very windy course but well maintained! Thanks Chase for the laughs and your outstanding professionalism, there needs to be more people like you out there! Hopefully my wing heals soon LOL hopefully you make it to Canada one of these days :-)

Great layout but the greens were very slow, bunkers were horrible, crashed rock, no sand . Reasonable rates, good rental clubs and friendly staff.

Great conditions. Smooth quick greens. Not super fast. For the price one if the better golf deals on the island

Waikoloa Village is a beautiful place to stay. Wether you live on the Big Island or are just visiting. This Villa has a lot going for it. It boasts a view of the ocean, <15 minutes from popular beaches, <30 minutes from Kona and the Airport, it's on a golf resort, is walking distance from the grocery store.
