In summary

Warrenbrook Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained, challenging layout with sloping fairways and elevation changes, providing a good test for golfers. The course is described as tight and tree-lined, with improvements noted in the traps and greens. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the slow pace of play, lack of amenities such as food and beverages, and occasional issues with staff attitude, which can detract from the overall experience.

I played 18 holes at Warrenbrook Golf Course on Wednesday around 1:30 PM. It’s a really nice course with soft greens. Most of the holes are sloped either left or right, with many doglegs, and you often can’t see the flags due to elevation—quite a challenge! It’s a great public course overall. The only downside is that there’s no clubhouse available for food or drinks.

The course itself is well maintained and challenging. The issue with this place is the older lady who works there during the weekdays. She did everything she could to prevent us from playing. My tee time was a reservation for one and I brought my girlfriend to ride along. Immediately she had an attitude. First stating I’d have to pay for her green fees and cart - totally fine I know the rules. Then she switches to the clothes my girlfriend was wearing saying she had to have sleeves when it’s 80+ degrees and she’s dressed perfectly appropriate. Not to mention we were the last tee time of the da…

played a round of golf and they matched me with a nice kid Steven at 1:50 tee time on Tuesday 8/12/2025. the cart attendant was extremely rude and screamed “TEE OFF!” at my new friend Steve. He had his hands in the air like we just cut him off going 95mph on the parkway. There were still people on the course hitting and they would have been in serious danger had we tee’d off with our drivers at them. Anyway Steverino and I had a great time after that once we got away from Happy Gilmore with the ipad.

Great little county golf course. About 6200 yards from the back tees. Took about 30 minute drive from Staten Island. $54 bucks to walk and another $17 to ride. Not a county member, but if I was, I would be paying $31 to walk. It's a trek to walk, bit hilly. Update (10/24): Been a country member for a couple of years now. The walking rate is now $37 for country members. Well maintained course.

Well maintained and challenging golf course for the amateur golfer. Front nine has alot of sloping and hilly fairways. Not a walking course for us older folks.

Nicely groomed course, very tight and some of the holes challenging, especially 7. The men in the office all looked miserable lol... no beer, no food for sale?! WHAT?! Liquor store is luckily down the street. I would play again, but I would make sure to bring breakfast with me. Four stars if they had beer and friendlier staff.

Decent for a quick round of golf. Heavily wooded. Greens were in good shape, fairways were ok. Staff were very nice.

This is a tough review to write. I want to give this course five stars, four at least, which is why every few months I convince myself to come back. It's always the same, but I hope it won't be. But the reality is, despite my appreciation for the course itself, the pace of play - and the management's unwillingness to do anything about it - makes the experience frustrating and drains the fun from the great course. I just walked off the course - five hours and two minutes - from a 10 AM tee time. There's no excuse for a round of golf to last more than four hours - maybe 4:15, fine, which is wh…

Nice place for a around of golf. Considering it was october, the course was in pretty good shape. The staff was very kind.

Is a good course for the price. Is kept in good shape, but often times is a slow round since a lot of people play there. Staff is friendly. Do not try to retrieve your ball from out of bounds areas. I unfortunately got poison ivy in my legs and arms but it is my own fault and it is marked out of bounds for a reason. In the summer it is really buggy so I would recommend bringing lots of bug spray.

I have really enjoyed this course, albeit I have always gone midweek. The course is tight, challenging, but not tricky. Layout is traditional with lots of elevation changes. Overall a nice course (except for the weird last two holes which seem like an add-on). Rocky in parts - so check the ground before swinging in the far rough. Maintenance is good (greens and fairways in good shape) and pace of play fine. I don't understand why this course is so poorly rated compared to other Somerset County courses.
