In summary

Waterloo Golf Academy is appreciated for its accessibility and suitability for beginners, offering a convenient and quick 9-hole experience with well-maintained greens and good practice facilities. However, many visitors express disappointment over the lack of maintenance, particularly with the mini-golf course and bunkers, and note issues with slow play and management. The course is set to close soon, which has been a point of regret for many long-time patrons.

Excellent golf course. Perfect for beginners, or people who are looking to get done a quick nine. Not too challenging, but allows you to play the course in under 1 1/2. Would recommend it.

Been whacking balls here for a decade not to mention mini golf when it was around, and I'll say not only should you go while its still there but it's a damn shame that the city took back the land for a road to be built, I call BS! Took my daughter to mini golf recently and heard about what was up, they're not taking care of the mini golf course so they'll let you play for free at your own risk kind of thing, super fun still!

To the man who told a foursome that we were "too slow" for the group behind us and let them take the second hole ahead of us when they were hawking on us before we even teed off ON TIME, that's a bush league move. If you didn't want them on our tails, either tell them to wait until their tee time, and IF after that we were still too slow, then in that case you can say something. Not all negative, however. The greens are pretty not bad - I might even say they were well kept. I lovely 9-hole course not too far out of town

Update after 2015 season. Used to be 5 stars, after the 2015 season its a 2-3 I believe 2016 is the last year this course will be open, as the city of Waterloo did not renew the lease on the property They really let things go for the 2015 season. Bunkers hard as a rock-zero maintenance, completely unacceptable but not surprised of this from a low level golf north course.. Hilarious seeing "please rake bunker" signs. LOL I often see people poaching holes, going from the parking lot straight to holes 7,8,9 and then going to the driving range-wake up marshalls! ****Geese on the property wit…

Not much going on with this course. Good to bring new beginners but I wouldn't recommend this course if you're an avid golfer. It knows what it is and fits it's purpose so it's fine.

It's a great place to get your game in check. If you get a cart, make sure it is in working order i.e. all the tires have air. Course is usually in good condition.

Went here for minigolf. They don't maintain the course at all anymore. There are weeds and dirt everywhere. At least it's free... not really worth the drive though.

I'm a beginner, and this place is fantastic to practice at! The service is always friendly, and the rates are reasonable. I would recommend this place to any one looking to learn.

Pretty good range and has a chipping area, of course went downhill with Golf North but that doesn't matter as this is the last season.

Was the best little golf course. To bad it had to get taken over by yet even more houses.

Facility has had no investment for years.....not surprised...as it's about to be ripped up and turned into a shopping centre after the 2017 season.
