In summary

Whispering Pines Golf Club is appreciated for its affordable pricing, beautiful layout, and friendly staff, with recent upgrades to the facilities enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about inconsistent course conditions, particularly the greens, and issues with management, including booking difficulties and customer service. Despite these criticisms, many find the course to be a good value, especially given its municipal status.

Enjoyed my golf here. Price was affordable. Typical municipal course but facilities were quite nice. Will certainly visit again.bb

We played the front nine in approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes, which felt like a normal pace for the course. At the turn, we voluntarily allowed two older golfers to play through. On hole 10, a course warden approached us and instructed us to either play faster or allow the group behind us to play through. From that point on, the warden continued to ride around and closely monitor us on nearly every hole, which felt excessive and uncomfortable. Despite this, we completed the full 18 holes in 3 hours and 35 minutes. The pace of play ultimately met reasonable expectations, but the manner in w…

Played 9 holes not long ago and the greens had just been aerated and sanded, so they were atrocious to put on. On June 1st, I played 18 and the most of the greens were in excellent shape. A few on the back nine still have some recovery time needed, but all in all, a nice experience.

George County Sheriff's Office Golf Tournament. Outstanding Day! Weather co-operated Warm, but no rain. Whispering Pines had upgraded the facility and grounds were perfect. Solid recommendation!!

I’ve called 4 times in the last 10 days trying to get a tee time. There is no online booking available, their website won’t tell you if there is an event. And if you call to get a tee time minutes after opening, they are full for hours and hours. So unless you only want to play evenings and twilight. Don’t waste your time like me. Drive that extra 15-30 minutes to the coast.

The course is in fair shape, the service was great. The greens were very nice. The price was inexpensive for the area! The bathrooms on the course need major attention. The women’s closed, men’s bathroom fair at best.

Beautiful golf course. Very well managed. The Junior golf lessons are absolutely wonderful. Our son has thoroughly enjoyed it. Only wish we’d found this place sooner.

Greens need some work but a nice course overall. Price should be reduced until greens get fixed. Maybe 25 bucks until fixed

Played there yesterday and haven't played there since 2022. The greens were the worst i've ever seen in my 57 years of playing golf, they are ate up with a cancer fungus. It is so sad to see a place very poorly taken care of, somebody should be fired. I will never come back.
