Heritage Golf receives praise for its scenic layout and family-friendly amenities, including a restaurant and mini-golf area. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens and tee boxes, as well as inconsistent customer service and lack of amenities like a driving range. We just walked around outside on the sidewalk near the pond looking at the turtles, kids played on grass. Just a nice day to be out. On weekends there is a band, and although I have never attended those nights, I hear it is really fun. Maybe one of the days I can go.

After reading these reviews and what I know about the owners and this place, I recommend save your money. There are a ton of better courses in Birmingham.

*** please read if you are considering to make a trip in the next few weeks*** You can see this place was once well maintained, as the layout is well thought out, the field house gives you the impression it was once a large part of this community. Unfortunately I just had my first bad experience since I started playing golf here and I just wanted to make sure folks knew what to expect of this place as I was surprised: upon arriving I found out that hole 6 is closed (they’re using the chipping green as a replacement, which would be fine if it weren’t bumpier than most fairways I’ve been on), th…

Big difference in this course from 10 years ago. Bumpy greens, overgrown areas that used to be cut, tee boxes unattended, roped off areas of greens. Really disappointed in my first visit back from playing this as my high school home course years ago.

All around the southeast I have golfed, and never have I seen a course this bad. No amenities at all. No range, beverage cart, or hospitality. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone.

This course was in very good condition regarding fairways (most) and greens. The Fall leaves, like with any course, made it depressing when they hid your ball. :) Club house manager was professional and helpful. Reasonable priced.

The Course has been neglected over the years. It’s definitely not worth the price they charge. I’ve played here many times over the years, but now it’s pretty far down on my list of places to play. There are a lot better options for cheaper within a 20-30 minute drive.

This place has gone downhill since the last time I played it. The greens were very bumpy, the ball stayed in the air most than on the grass. Slow play with multiple groups of 5 & 6 allowed to play. Stopped by at the turn to get a drink and the place was locked up at 1pm. Just an all around bad experience.

Great course for the money! I've played worse courses that charged way more. Great track of holes, some short scoring holes and a few tough ones that make you think strategically. Greens are pure, friendly staff, and well kept. Go play it.
