In summary

Willow Crest Golf Club is generally praised for its well-maintained course, unique and challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it enjoyable for a range of skill levels. The golf carts and amenities, including a nice bar and patio, add to the experience. However, some visitors note issues with slow pace of play, high pricing, and maintenance concerns such as rough cart paths and unrepaired ball marks on greens. Additionally, there have been isolated reports of negative interactions with staff, which management may need to address.

It's a challenging track for sure. Each hole is a unique design. Greens are more undulating than most in the area. There are plenty of sand and water hazards. Tee box distances are fair and cater to all skill levels of players. Super-long hitters may not like the tips since they are only around 6500 yards. Staff was on top of their game. Marshall was touring the course, starter, pro shop, and beverage cart staff all working to make our round run as smoothly as possible. That said, we were waiting on several holes so expect a 5 hour round on crowded days. I wanted to give the course 5 stars,…

We didn’t stay at the hotel but just played the course. Really fun course. Great shape. Fun design. Challenging but not too hard, although we had 20+ MPH winds when we played so the par 5s played like par 6s. Rented clubs from the pro shop. Everyone was extremely nice. Highly recommend this course to anyone. Very glad we chose to play here.

We had a lot of fun. I'm not an avid golfer, but I've been trying out different courses. Willow Crest is fun for most skill levels. There are a lot of hazards, but there are six par threes to help keep things fun. The golf carts are nice, the course is well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. The biggest downside is the price. Look to spend $85 for 18 holes with a cart. More if you want food and drinks. I also think they could work on the golf cart paths. Most of them are very rough. It's definitely worth trying at least once.

Nice course that’s well maintained. I’d say it’s priced fairly, not cheep but also not too crazy. They have a really nice putting and specific chipping green at check in. One downside is there is no driving range. They have two bays with nets you can hit into which is better than nothing. Course starts of “easy” enough, but introduces more challenges and water on the back 9.

I can only give this place 3 stars. It is located in Oak Brook but charges you like you are in New York City. I stopped the cart girl for a couple of bottles of water and she told me $8.00. Now, these were 16 oz. bottles of Pure Life water purchased from the local Target. Then, after a long day in the 95 degree heat, my buddies and I ordered two tap beers and two mixed drinks and the bill came to $45.00...not including the tip. The golf course was in decent shape but unless you feel like paying HUGE money for everything else...stay away from here.

This golf course is a blast. It is the windy city though, so we were hitting 3 or four clubs up on par threes! Beautiful golf club

I recently visited the golf club with my husband, who is a regular at this course since we live nearby. I’m a novice golfer and will often ride along with him, especially as we are new to the neighborhood and still getting to know people. Unfortunately, during this visit I had a very negative and uncomfortable experience with one of the staff members. When I asked if I could simply ride along with my husband, the employee was extremely rude, belittling, and overbearing. I even offered to pay for my time on the course, and she still shooed me away. She made it very clear that I was not allowed…

Discriminatory behavior. I had a 7:08 AM tee time and was planning to rent a cart. However, even five minutes before my tee time, no carts had been assigned, so I approached the cart area to inquire. Before I could even ask, an older staff member shouted at me very aggressively, telling me that I was not allowed to enter that area. While I fully understand safety protocols, there was absolutely no need for such hostility. What shocked me even more was that other customers — all white — were allowed to walk freely into the same area and even sit in the carts without being stopped or reprimand…

Course has come a long way in the past couple years. Bunkers are fantastic now and layout is super fun. Good bloody at the bar and nice patio for after golf.

A great day yesterday at this course. The fairways were in excellent condition and the course was very well maintained. The only issue was that they had recently aerated and sanded the greens, so they were bumpy and did not roll true. However, that is expected for this time of year. The people were very nice and helpful. I think we had a bit of a price adjustment to reflect the greens, so all good.
