In summary

World Woods Golf Club, now known as Cabot Citrus Farms, is praised for its beautiful approach, unique and challenging course layout, and expansive greens, which many find entertaining. However, several visitors feel the course does not justify its high price, citing issues with course conditions, lack of amenities, and mandatory walking. While the food receives high marks, some guests express disappointment with the overall value and service level, suggesting room for improvement to meet premium expectations.

Cabot Citrus Farms was fun—but it’s not quite living up to the hype or the price point yet. Starting with the positives: the drive-up and entrance are excellent, the overall vibe is strong, and the layout is genuinely fun (even if a bit hokey at times). Pace of play was good, the greens are massive and entertaining to putt across, and the food and beverage options are solid—but overpriced relative to the rest of the experience. Overall, the staff is friendly, and we absolutely had a good time. That said, at $360 per round, expectations are high—and several things missed the mark compared to…

This place is great but a few things kept it from being a five star course in my eyes. 1. The walking. I know it’s seasonal and I don’t mind walking a course but this sandy environment is very different and more difficult to manage, when you’re trying to enjoy yourself on the course (and for what you’re paying). The signage is also really bad. It’s really bad if you would’ve been in a cart. Then imagine if you’re walking. Luckily we had a caddy or we would’ve been lost. 2. The turf driving range drives me nuts. It helps no one’s game and should be banned, especially at a course of this calib…

Starting with the approach, it is beautiful and let's you know you're in for an experience. The range, and short game facility is likely the best I've seen. The course is in amazing shape and the greens are running quick with lots of undulation. F&B options on about four holes was a great touch. The only miss was the cart paths and signage. There are no paved paths and often times, none at all. Finding the next hole proved more challenging than it should. Overall, one of the best experiences

We recently played Cabot Citrus Farms during a golf trip from Canada where we played four different courses in Florida. The other three courses were in great condition. Unfortunately Cabot Citrus Farms was by far the worst and also the most expensive. For the price they are charging, the course conditions were extremely disappointing. The overall conditioning felt rough and several of the guys in our what's app group were jokingly asking “what goat track are you playing?” after seeing photos. The greens were the biggest issue. They were rock hard and nearly impossible to hold. You could hit…

I recently played at Cabot Citrus Farms and had mixed feelings. The course layout was really fun. It’s creative and challenging, and you can tell it has a lot of potential. But the conditions were disappointing. The course was super dry, rock hard, and brown. For $375 a round, I expect much better. It just doesn’t meet the standard for that price. There were also no carts and no beverage cart service, which was surprising considering how much it costs to play. The place has potential, but I wouldn’t go back for at least a year or so.

Craig Osborne's review is perfect, but I will just add here: -This course is not worth anywhere near $200, let alone the $400 they are charging. It's an insane ripoff and you're crazy to pay it -- there is nothing about the course that will make you think you got value for that money. -NO water stations, I really don't think I saw a single one. Tee boxes feel unfinished, the course feels like it's years away from being plush, and the changes are not that remarkable. -I played the old 2 courses here (World Woods) for $30 each before they were renovated, and both were great. These changes are bi…

Played Cabot Citrus Farms and, yes, it lives up to the hype and then politely takes your money anyway. We played The Squeeze, the 10-hole course that sounds casual and then quietly humbles you. You can walk it, but do yourself a favor and grab a cart unless you’re training for a step-count leaderboard or enjoy questioning your life choices by hole seven. The greens are sneaky in the most disrespectful way, full of subtle slopes that look innocent until your putt makes a hard left like it saw a ghost. Course conditions were unreal. The grass looked vacuumed. I half expected someone to apologiz…

Amazing upgrade to the old World Woods property. The bones were always there and it feels borderline religious to see it come to life. Food is pretty damn good and also reasonable. Chicken sandwich on course in the huts is fire. Throw some of them pickled jalepenos on em. Par 3 and Squeeze are also super fun

By far the best all around golf experience I’ve had. Thanks for making it such a memorable one for my party and I. If you have an opportunity, request Jordan Lacy as your caddy; you won’t be disappointed!

Good service and food. Putting green was unique and exceptional. Grass on driving range could have been better. Course was interesting and memorable. The fairway and green on 17th hole is really spectacular.

I had a high quality experience at Cabot Citrus Farms and highly recommend. The cottage was outstanding and fit 4 of us comfortably. The golf itself was incredible, both courses were challenging and fun, I give the Roost course a slight edge over Karoo. The par 3 course is nice, it’s hard to see at night due to the lights being on the floor (probably the only thing I’d complain about and it wasn’t a big deal at all). The 10- hole course is really fun as well. The staff at Cabot is top-notch and went above and beyond. Everyone from check-in to caddies to restaurant, gave extraordinary service.…

Cabot was very beautiful course. It was perfect for our Bachelor party. We played 18 on Roost and the 12 at Wedge under the lights. We finished our night at The Porch where Hailee, Alaura and Charisma was very nice and made the best drinks! Thank you for a great experience!
