In summary

Hernando Oaks Golf Club receives praise for its challenging course layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly, accommodating staff. The clubhouse and dining options, including the Bar & Grill, are also highlighted as enjoyable experiences. However, some visitors express concerns about the condition of the tee boxes and occasional slow pace of play, as well as the overall value for the price.

Stopped in at Hernando Oaks Bar & Grill and was seriously impressed! I had the prime rib hoagie with spiral fries, and both were absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and full of flavor. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere had that relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Definitely a hidden gem — I’ll be back for sure!

I mentioned to a buddy, "Why haven't we been out here in so long? The course is really good. Lots of challenges. Greats were perfect. Pins were tough. But the tee boxes of had puddles of water on them for some reason—still playable. Loved the course!

Looking for a golf experience that doubles as a hostage situation? Hernando Oaks has you covered! If you’re unhappy at home and need a 10-hour escape from your spouse’s nagging, this is your paradise. You’ll have plenty of time to reflect on life’s poor decisions—like why you booked this course instead of literally anywhere else. Tee times are spaced two minutes apart, so you’ll quickly bond with the groups ahead and behind you. By hole three, you’ll know their kids’ names, favorite snacks, and maybe even their blood type. Who needs speed when you can make lifelong friends while waiting 30 min…

Great course overall. Couple of the greens could use some work, but still a great value! Will absolutely be back!

Update: Greens are way better. Everything else is still terrible and the prices are still way too high for the condition. I'll try again next year. Been playing here for 3 years. Used to be a bargain. Doubled the price and let the conditions get worse. I'll try again in a year or so. Silverthorne is way better.

This review is only of the clubhouse. We went on a Saturday night for the Advertised karaoke night which looks like they have once a month. It was packed because of a birthday party and just the regular karaoke crowd, I assume. The line up was 20+, so would have taken 1 1/2 to go through the rotation. We almost left to go to another local karaoke place, but thanks to "Jenna" ( I think that was her name) the bartender,we did end up staying for one song. She was a real sweet lady who convinced us to stick around and give it a try. She was extremely accommodating. There were no free tables availa…

Course is playing great. Greens are well kept and run true. Bunkers are hard pan with 1 or 2 fluffy ones just to mess with you. Tee boxes could be thicker or tighter. Great time of year to play.

The course was fine. The fairways were very long and soft, letting the ball be mostly covered in grass. Off the rough on every hole was uncut rough that is impossible to find a ball in there, so bring some extras. The staff was great, however the Ranger did nothing about a slow 5-some that wouldn't let my 2-some play through.

I have been golfing here since this place opened and it has gone downhill so bad. My round today was $67 and I will not be going back. The tee boxes on the front 9 are dirt and the greens are garbage. Hole 7 par 3 has a green full of dirt. For the money, go to Rivard 100%. Hernando Oaks is a rip off. There are worse areas on the course than the pictures I posted.

The greens here are the nicest I’ve seen anywhere. They are fast, and beautiful to look at. The staff is always courteous. I truly enjoy playing at Hernando Oaks. Sherry of their management team is top notch.

Very nice golf course good layout and very challenging from just about any set of Tees. Greens are big and undulated but not fast, would say medium speed but again just a really good set up. If they tuck the pins on certain holes this course could be very difficult! Bunkers were a little bit lacking as well as teeing area but still very enjoyable place to play.

Tee boxes need work. Woman at desk checking us in was fabulous and needs a raise! Course in great shape except for tee boxes.
