In summary

Brooksville Country Club is recognized for its beautiful course layout and friendly staff, with particular praise for the back nine holes and the new golf carts. However, many visitors express significant disappointment with the course's maintenance, citing poor conditions on the greens and fairways, especially on the front nine, which detracts from the overall playing experience.

Absolutely beautiful layout for the course! Staff was nice, carts were like new! However the greens on about 60% of the holes were UNPLAYABLE. Also told me over the phone it was free to have a rider no extra charge aside from the 42$, left paying 59$ for cart fee and rider fee for 18 holes, left me feeling robbed. If you are visiting from out of town I would not plan a day around this place until the greens are fixed. If you still want to go play the back 9 they were in okay condition.

Great layout with so much potential, but beyond terrible conditions. No fairways, weeds and dirt, every green is burnt to a crisp/ sand pit, bunkers haven’t been maintained in years it looks like. With all of the rain we’ve had this summer there is ZERO excuse for this course to look the way it does. I would highly recommend playing anywhere but here.

So I have a few things to say here. The fact that they have a 3.9 rating is absolutely a joke. Four of us played there yesterday some of us for the second time in a few months a couple others have played three or four times. We all agreed that it was the worst course we’ve ever played condition wise. The fact that you paid $50 for a round of golf and have to play on dirt 80% of the time or more should be an embarrassment for them. Both times that I’ve been I’ve heard excuses about we just are getting watered to it, but you shouldn’t be charging $50 for a course that’s probably worth $20 or $25…

The front nine was in pretty bad condition. However the back nine was pretty good. Only a few greens were putt able.

The worst golf ⛳️ course I've played. The front should be closed. From tee to green despicable. I'm going to give the back 9 3.5.The quarry holes were fun.I would play the back twice. Forget the front. Very sad how this course has been maintained. Recommend not wasting your money on this course.

This course is really a shame. It has so much potential, but it is not being maintained at all. The greens are abhorrent. The practice putting green was my first indicator. I was hopeful it was a fluke. It was not. The front 9 is complete trash. A Walmart parking lot has better maintenance. The back 9 is in much better condition but still could be so much better. There are some amazing holes on this back 9 that you just don't find anywhere around this area. So much potential. They have very new golf carts that are comfy, but not enough to make this experience better.

The greens on the front nine are probably 50% gone , back nine is a little better. Not much grass in the fairways - hitting off hardpan most of the time. They do have beautiful carts though! Great course layout, hopefully they get it together soon!

From a foursome of experienced, well traveled if not particularly equally skilled players, the course was a profound disappointment. The greens were virtually unputtable to the point where we automatically assumed a two putt regardless of distance. We all agreed the course needs to get the greens back in pristine shape then begin reclamation of tee boxes and fairways. As the course is, it’s not worth the time. However, it could be. You can see the bones of a former good track and what it could be with some focused and mindfully staged restoration. If we hear of that effort happening, we all ag…

This would ve a really nice course "if" the fairways and greens were actually green. I understand their irrigation system was out if commission so nearly all grass was burnt and dead. What makes it especially bad is our drought conditions. Too bad as the course was well laid out.

This place is really gone downhill to say that it’s rough is an understatement. The greens on the first nine are completely sandy, huge divots and holes. Tons of weeds everywhere it’s not green even the fairway looks like you’re playing in a field the bathroom that we came across was completely unacceptable. Most of the workers there seem like completely incompetent. I’m not sure what’s going on with this place, but until it gets fixed, we will not be back. The back line looked completely different than the front nine they were fun and looked pretty decent. Not sure what’s going on with the fr…

The greens were in bad shape, particularly the front 9. No stakes marking 150 and 100 yards. Most of the markers in the fairways were overgrown so, difficult to find. Kelly is very nice and helpful. The back 9 helps make up for the poor conditions.

This course is in horrendous shape. Every green has bare patches. The fairways were either completely bare, filled with weeds, or overgrown like playing in the rough. I played 2 months prior and it was just as bad. Even for 35 dollars this is not worth it. Its a shame because the back nine is unique and different. I really hope they get this place back on track.
