Southern Hills Plantation

We absolutely LOVED it! The location worked for our bike rides. The place itself was absolutely fabulous with having a full kitchen, it allowed us to just hang out for dinner. The pool staff was super friendly and accommodating. I asked for an ice tea, they didn’t have any so he brewed a fresh jar of “sun kissed” just for me! Made us feel very special! Thank you for a beautiful location and picture perfect stay!

I just played at Dunedin golf course where our new superintendent oversaw. He was highly liked. I payed 140 to play. That course is completely trashed and ruined. There was no attention to detail. It’s a complete and utter shame. The residents say it has been declining for the last 4 months. I truly hope our course doesn’t turn out that way. Half of the greens were completely ruined. They just did a million dollar renovation. The bunkers were destroyed. Had leaves in it. Not detailed. The fairways were thin and shockingly bad. That is. 50$ a round course. The clubhouse was disgustingly overgro…

My husband and I just tied the knot sept 27th 2025. This was the most magical amazing day I could have asked for. Fran my wedding coordinator was amazing and made sure I didn't miss any details. We stayed at the villas on the premises, and it was more than we could have dreamed. Thank you southern hill plantation club!!!!

Attended a company Christmas party for Cemex. Steamed veggies were BARELY steamed, think raw and cold. Staff struggled to keep food stocked and hot even though the dinner service was scheduled and limited. Only 2 choices for salad dressing (which they also struggled to keep stocked and the salad bowls were TEENY!) ranch and a vinaigrette (not even an Italian dressing). Overall, for the supposed event catering, 2 out of 5 stars and for what I am sure the company paid - VERY DISAPPOINTING!!

Very and peaceful. We only stayed one night while visiting family in the area. Needed two bedrooms and this was a great alternative to a hotel.

we are regulars come here every hey, we love Kimberly. She always takes care of us. Make sure the whole place is running 100%. She’s a hard worker and she’s our friend. She makes this place what it is definitely come and the weddings are beautiful highly recommend.

Nice, calm, very upscale community Clubhouse. Bar/lounge area isn't impressive but views are lovely.

Great course, even greater staff. Conditions vary day to day based on the weather, but an overall solid layout. Don’t go too deep into the long grass, there are some nasty snakes in there.

If you ever get a chance to golf here, DO IT. Unlike any other course I’ve played in Florida. Very well kept. Fun track with plenty of elevation changes and scenery. Worth the drive from anywhere in the Tampa Bay Area.

Just spent 6 days staying at the 4 bedroom villa on site and highly recommend anyone looking for great accommodations and a world class course to seriously consider making Southern Hills their golf vacation choice. The villa was spacious and clean and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The golf course is tough but playable and in wonderful condition. Special thanks to the pro shop staff as we had a few complications, not of their doing, that they dealt with quickly and professionally which helped make our stay even more enjoyable. Already planning our next trip back.

The course is in unreal condition. We stayed in the villa for a wedding and played the course. Awesome stay.
