In summary

Asheboro Country Club is appreciated for its beautiful and challenging course layout, with improvements noted in the greens and overall course conditions under new management. However, some visitors highlight issues such as limited amenities, inconsistent maintenance of bunkers, and the need for better course signage and restroom facilities. The ongoing efforts to enhance the course suggest potential for future improvement, though some areas still require attention.

Not sure where the "country club" partvof their name comes from. Nothing here says country club. No locker rooms, restaurant, pool or amenities. Beautiful course with challenging holes, especially on the back side. Greens were in perfect condition. A bit soggy around the greens. Need better signage. Many holes are hard to find. Hole 4 is to the left of the club house. Hole 10 has you going behind the club house to hit over the water and turn around to getvto the green. Be sure to bring your own food and drinks, and there is basically nothing in the pro shop. (Some canned sodas and pre-made san…

I am so glad this course is coming back to what it used to be. The greens are excellent, they run true, fast but not unreasonable. Of course, this time of year the fairways are brown but that's how it is everywhere. I always loved the layout of this course. It is hard enough to enjoy without being ridiculous. I am so glad it is a place I want to play again.

It is a.work In progress . The good parts: layout, fairways. The bad: greens, rough, zero water or restroom on course.. To be fair I played here 13 years ago and had a great time. Much has changed. The greens are mostly gone with very little consistency. I believe that they are trying to revive the course (switch to Bermuda) but it's gonna take a long time. I enjoyed my round as the views and bones of the course remain. Some serious tough tee shots as the course is pretty tight. I will return in a year and see the progress. I really hope they can make the necessary changes happen.

First time playing there. Nice course, good layout and wide fairways. Greens were wet and slow today.

This course was truly a gem 20 years ago. While it’s faced its fair share of challenges and changes in ownership over the years, it’s now under new management—and the transformation has been remarkable. If you had a less-than-great experience in the past, it’s time to give it another shot. You might be surprised by how far it’s come

This place is making great improvement. They have a new superintendent, and a new crew. The greens have improved and getting faster. They have worked hard at clearing, cleaning the the course up and making it the beautiful place it was, and now again is.

Really thought it was decent until this afternoon. Played there yesterday and for the $40 price range the course isn't bad. However, only restroom is in the clubhouse so if you are out of the course you are kind of screwed if you need to go. Food options are very limited to small snacks so do not go here hungry. Would have maybe been three stars until this morning when I realized my rangefinder was missing and I likely left it on the cart. Guess the people they employee are unethical thieves who won't turn in the stuff they find. Would definitely be careful here. They obviously aren't trustwor…

Course had just reopened the Friday before we played on Sunday. They changed the lineup of holes, but still a good layout. Course still needs work. Putting green was shaggy and unmowed. The bunkers were really bad. Greens and tees were good and fairways were in good shape. Just needs to be maintained and groomed a little better. Only $40 to ride on weekend.

Played here on June 24, 2022 with a group for a Captain's Choice Tournament. Really like the course layout, lakes, a little rolly terrain, very nice. The greens were in good shape, though a little fuzzy and the tees and fairways had nice grass. The general area of the course could stand a little more care, and if they did that this could really be a top end course.

Fairways were in great shape. Greens just got aerated on 9-11-17 so the greens were still Sandy. They will be good to by 9/25. The course was a lot of fun especially the back 9 holes. Looking forward to playing there soon.

**EDIT** The course closed down for about 3 months for a complete greens restoration. They reopened on 9/4/25 and I had the pleasure of checking out the course on opening day. The greens were MUCH MUCH MUCH better! Every green was bermuda and was super nice compared to what they were. On top of that I noticed some work had been done on the tee boxes. Almost all of them (give or take a couple) were full and were nice and tight. Bunkers seemed to have been tended to during the closure as well. This course is getting there man. This is gonna be a hidden gem as they continue to make more improveme…
