In summary

Atlantis Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained fairways, challenging layout, and friendly staff, offering good value for a county course. Many golfers enjoy the diverse and scenic design, with some highlighting the cozy restaurant, Cuisine on the Green, as a nice spot for refreshments. However, there are consistent concerns about the pace of play and customer service, with some visitors experiencing issues with staff interactions and course policies.

Really enjoy the course and is well maintained for a county course but honestly the pace of play is brutal! Past 4 times of playing here haven’t been able to finish the round due to sunsets. If they controlled the pace of play it would be a 5 start for me.

During the golf season, the course is in great shape. This year there have been some disruptions but that is only because they are working to make significant improvements. This is a great course at a great price. The staff is friendly and professional.

Course conditions were maybe a 3/10 . Some of the spots were fine some of the spots were horrid . Some of the bunkers looked rough , hard dirt at best and green on 18 was bumpy like the skin of an orange . It's the type of place you can golf in jeans and a tee shirt and nobody bats an eye if that's your thing . Customer service was poor , had an issue with the supposed "free lunch" with purchase of a round but none of the 3 people working the counter could use a little common sense and reason to make things right for the customers. Overall not the type of golf round you look forward to all wee…

Would give 0 stars if I could. The staff is absolutely the most arrogant we have ever met. The person mowing mowed over 4 of our balls and shred them to pieces! How awful!!!!! Visiting out of state and less than impressed. Tee boxes are in the worst shape I have ever seen. Ball marks are not repaired on any hole. AND after we teed off 20 minutes ahead of our scheduled time we got followed and stalked by the warden telling us to get going when we were on pace with the group ahead of us. This course isn’t special yet they are acting like they are hiding something here!!!!!

Course was in OK condition some greens were in bad shape. Thought we signed up for the two dollar lunch, but it turns out that we did not which we found out when we were checking in. We wanted the two dollar lunch and express that to the person behind the counter, but they said there is nothing that they can do. This was our first time at the course coming all the way down from Monmouth County And the fact that there was no leniency to understand the misunderstanding, we will never be coming down to golf at Atlantis ever again.

The course itself was enjoyable to play. Nice layout, some challenging holes. Did not enjoy the attitude of “starters”. It would have been nice to receive some course information, cart restrictions, hole closures. Instead we were greeted with “You’re on the tee.” When I asked said information and if we were playing with anyone we got a “No.” I have been working for a course for the last 7 years. It’s not difficult to give basic info in a polite manner. You’re a representation of the course.

I play this course 10 months a year. For a county course, it can't be beat. Hate that people can't fix their divots or rake the traps. The rough can be "rough" at times, greens in great shape. Staff is friendly on course and pro-shop. Don't forget to have a beverage or food afterwards at Cuisine on Green. Great staff and creative food.

The course itself not bad although the greens were a little too slow and pace of play was too slow for a relatively easy layout and weekday. . However the starter made it worse than it was. Miserable people shouldn’t be on a golf course or just find a smile and personality. Yikes.

****ALERT*****. If you start a round(example were on the 3rd hole) and a thunderstorm rolls through like today. The County closed the course and does not issue a refund or rain check. The staff are just that warm bodies. no where near as accommodating but prices are the same as private owned courses which we have plenty of locally. Dont take the chance if there is any weather coming because your not gonna be happy teeing off then being told sorry we cant issue a refund corse is closed. I play all year long in the cold, snow, rain sun and this is a first. Way to keep people happy.

Don’t waste time, money or energy attempting to play golf at this place. Experienced an over booked, rushed and rude staff. A day that was supposed to be enjoyable ruined by staff urging to move quicker. Now my girlfriend wants nothing to do with golf..THANKS. The worst part is..we would have paid for lessons or played weekly if we didn’t have a bad experience. All negative reviews that you read are 100% accurate. Foods also awful and priced fairly high for what they offer.

A solid test of golf for all levels. Well defined fairways with thick rough to be avoided. The bones of the Fazio design remain, especially with the tricky elevated greens. Cuisine on the Green is a cozy spot for lunch or dinner.

Really nice course. Challenging with well maintained fairways but narrow roughs. Easy to bounce a shot on fairway into the trees. Heavily tree lined. Pines difficult to hit out of. Trees give u unplayable lies. Course is long. Ocean Cty course so nice golf carts. Small bar and restaurant that closes too early (5:00) on a Wednesday. Friends tell me the green head bugs are bad June thru early Sept. Will play again in the Fall.
