In summary

Bangor Municipal Golf Club is generally praised for its friendly and welcoming staff, well-maintained course, and good amenities, including a driving range and putting greens. The course layout is appreciated for its challenging aspects and overall condition, although some tee boxes and cart paths could use improvement. However, a few visitors have noted issues with customer service, slow pace of play, and occasional wet conditions affecting the course's playability.

Had a great day playing at Bangor Municipal. Got paired with 2 locals that were brothers. Tim and Rick I believe, awesome guys. Shared local stops to go. Course was in good shape and played well. Had a blast. Will definetly play again when in Bangor.

Bald employee was very rude to us and didn’t let us play 9 because we walked in two minutes before tee off. I get we were late but it’s a $20 course, it’s not that serious.

Players course for sure. Big greens that roll nicely. Enjoyed my first round there. Will be back if I'm in the area!

We had a great time at Bangor municipal Golf course today! Chuck the starter was very nice and very friendly. The course was fun to play and had its challenges. They have a nice putting green and also a driving range. After the round we stopped in their clubhouse restaurant. The cheesesteak and fries I had tasted great and my son's boneless chicken wings were really good too! The waitresses were very nice as well as the cook who went out of his way for one of our orders. The fairways and greens were in decent shape. Some of the tee boxes and cart paths need to be improved but overall I think…

Good golf course, a little dry right now. The greens are probably rolling at a 9 on the stemp meter, but they are nice and squishy.

The course is in very good shape with the exception of some tee boxes. While this has always been a track that has a slow draining profile, they have done a lot of good work to improve the drainage. We had some heavy rain the day prior and it was well drained with very few soggy spots. A number of holes have been improved with tree trimming and removal.

Great find while here on vacation. The championship course was great all around and in remarkable shape for a municipal course.

Overall decent course, but pace of play was poor and the greens were way too aerated. Also, the 8th or 9th hole was so close to the range I was nearly decapitated a couple times. Not a good placement of a range. Would probably avoid this course in the future.

If I could give 0 I would. This place is very unwelcoming to anyone new. They cater to their "club members" and are willing to kick anyone out that they don't find "a good fit" for the "club" even though it's municipal. Please for your sake do NOT ever go here. Try pine hill or other golf clubs in the area and you will actually enjoy your time.

One of the best in the area. Great for a public course. A good mix of trees and open spaces....not lots of water though. One downside is it is right next to the Airport flight path for takeoffs and landings as well as adjacent to I-95 & I-395 so it isn’t the quietest course. Nonetheless, one of the best options in the Bangor area.
