In summary

Beacon Ridge Country Club is often praised for its challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, offering good value for the Pinehurst area. Many visitors appreciate the ongoing improvements and renovations, including new sod and irrigation efforts. However, some areas such as the cart paths, clubhouse, and certain amenities like the tennis courts and bunkers are noted as needing further attention and investment to enhance the overall experience.

Decent course. came from Spartanburg SC to visit some family up here. enjoyed it. greens were really good. domt think its worth the price I paid though. this place could be really nice of they cleaned up the tennis courts and touch up a few things. owners and clubhouse workers are really nice!

Best value in the area. Courteous staff, fair pricing and good course condition. New sod added, bunker improvements, tree removal to accommodate more sun so grass can grow. Also course been fertilized with aeration to be completed soon and improved irrigation. Come check it out.

It's a struggle as to whether to give this a 3 or a four-star rating. 3 1/2 would be my choice. The meat of the course to include the fairways and greens are in good shape, however there are lots of places that need to be cleaned up around the tee boxes around the clubhouse, Etc. Based on my experience I would guess that they are short-staffed, but have made the right decision to maintain the playable areas of the course. Food at the turn consisted of refrigerated sandwiches that you could heat up in a microwave, however they were very reasonably priced. The course itself can be very challengi…

It's a fun, challenging layout. Elevated tees & greens add to the difficulty. Greens were smooth & moderately fast. Bunkers had some rocks in them, but were still playable. The staff was very helpful and cordial. The fairways are still coming on due to the lack of rain. Will play again when everything greens up.

Course is in amazing shape. You cannot beat this price! It’s a must to check out coming to the area. They are doing a ton of great renovations. Excited to see what the course looks like a year from now!

Challenging course but needs work for the price on weekend play. Greens were spotty with weeds. Not trying to crap on the course but not worth paying $79 on Sunday. Tried to get lunch after our round but grill was closed.

Our group from Myrtle Beach played 8/6/25. Staff was great. Course was in very good condition from tee to green. The bad areas in the fairways (which were few) were obviously under construction and being addressed. Greens rolled true and had no areas of distress. Course drains exceptionally well from all of the rain. Can't wait to play it again next year.

Friendly to women and juniors as well as seniors. Very reasonable prices. Can play just 9 holes if you like. Nice electric golf carts with usb. Can walk if you like. Usually not too busy.

We come to the Pinehurst area every January with a group of 12 golfers and routinely play many of the same course, our favorites. This year due to course availability we had a explore other options. After much research we decided to add Beacon Ridge to our list of courses. They have gone through a complete renovation and the course was in excellent condition. All of the staff was super nice and very helpful. The layout of beautiful and the facilities were top notch. Can’t say enough about it. Highly recommend!

Gene Hamm’s layout is solid. Fairways are in good shape. Greens had just been punched and sanded so can’t comment on typical playability. I played the white tees, but it seemed to play longer than the stated yardage. Stay out of the bunkers if you can. Thin on sand and lots of small stones. What was sad to see was the terrible and run down condition of the cart paths, clubhouse, tennis courts and pool. Beacon Ridge needs an infusion of capital. They are taking what they have and putting it into the course. The carts are new and they are improving the range. I would have liked to see this club…

Excellent value for money. The staff are super friendly. Well maintained course. Unrushed Golding experience. One of the best hidden gem in Pinehurst golf-town.
