In summary

Dormie Club is highly praised for its beautiful and challenging golf course, which blends seamlessly with the natural environment and offers a peaceful, private experience. The staff receives commendation for their attentive service, contributing to the overall high-quality, all-inclusive experience that includes meals and accommodations. While the course's rustic feel and lack of paved paths are generally appreciated for enhancing the natural ambiance, some note that the course conditioning can be rugged and the customer service in the pro shop has room for improvement.

Love being a Dormie member. It requires a nightly stay. I got a cottage which is 4 rooms for 4k a night. However it is an all inclusive (including all meals), they treat you like royalty, Cater to you, and give you anything you want. There are no other costs unless you buy something in the store or get a caddie (which of course we did both). The course itself is beautiful. It transports you to a different time and place; a quieter, more peaceful way of living is felt all around you. Love Dormie.

Perfect property for a golf course. Caddies are fun and a great asset to lowering scores. The owners house is a great meeting place for guests. Transfusions available at the halfway house paired with a grilled bologna sandwich highly recommended. 10/10 experience.

I played and stayed here last year and it was fantastic. In the pro shop they have this great fragrance that I have ordered several times since my stay. I placed another order online as Christmas gifts for family members and received an email from the pro shop that my order was going to be canceled unless I provided a member ID (There is nothing on the website that states this is needed). I explained in my email that I had purchased it previously through the club. No response at all. They just canceled my order with no follow up or explanation. Terrible customer service.

Once again the design team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw have created a stunning American golf course, this time in the Sandhills area near Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Dormie Club sits on 310 acres with only 68 acres of managed grass. The balance is made up of wire grasses, pine trees, Sandhills native vegetation, and “natural sands.” The course is as natural looking as any Sandhills course as it winds through mature pine and hardwood forests and around a couple of lakes. There are no manicured edges or defined rough and you’ll also encounter something fairly unique in the area - 110 feet…

Played the course right as the colors were changing. This is a second shot golf course. You have plenty of fairway on most holes but you have to be able to handle the lies in the fairway and be able to get the ball to the correct part of the green. If you hit to the wrong green tier, it can be impossible to 2-putt. The routing and the variety of holes is excellent. One small critique would be the course is a little rugged; not pristine conditioning by any means

Great location for a challenging round of golf. Feels like you are playing by yourself on each hole! Lots of space. I like the rustic feel of the clubhouse. Greens were a bit hard to read and the speed was inconsistent (maybe it was just my crappy putting! 🧐) A must visit if you’re in the area!

Private golf. Play 18, stay in a cabin with your foursome, play 18 again. Food and beverages included. The facilities are beautiful, and the staff are friendly and personable. It’s the way golf should be!

All golf. No bells and whistles (elaborate clubhouse, towels on your cart, gps) just a magnificent course in the middle of nature. Peaceful. Gives you a chance to be in the golfers moment.
