In summary

Beechwood Country Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and exceptional staff, creating an enjoyable golfing experience. The amenities, including the E9 Grill and stay-and-play accommodations, receive positive feedback for their quality and hospitality. However, some visitors find the greens particularly fast and challenging, and note that the rough can be difficult to navigate, which may impact play for mid-handicap golfers.

I’ve been to Beechwood for several Ryder Cup events amongst friends and also hosted up to 20 or so for a few corporate outings; all stay and play scenarios. It’s a fantastic venue for any type of group. Upon arrival you can relax at the E9 bar/grill area or head straight to the finely manicured short game just beyond its open doors. Warm up on the par 3 course before heading out to the course which is a treat to play. Putting and chipping is at a premium on the small and fast greens. After your round(s) make your way back to the E9 grill for great food and cold drinks with a kind/attentive Eas…

Beechwood CC is a hidden gem of a golf course and Country Club. The course is a blast to play. It will challenge the best golfers while being open and consistent for everyone. The greens are fantastic!! On par with $100k CC in Triangle. And the new par 3 and grill has laid back weekend vibes that other country clubs dream about without the pretentiousness. But the piece de resistance is the staff…the nicest crew, bartenders, golf shop attendants Ive encountered. We were 20 guys strong for a weekend and stayed in the houses on course. Like staying in a luxury hotel. Top notch weekend getaway f…

I'm not much on golf, but Beechwood provides a beautiful backdrop for your game, and the customer service is top tier. The food and views from E9, the restaurant on the course, are great. I really enjoyed the bang bang shrimp.

The stay and play package is well worth it, we stayed at the fairway house and was top notch! The customer service was impeccable at both the clubhouse and the restaurant. Course was in fantastic shape, very firm and fast greens some of the best our group has played on. We surely will make this an annual trip and extend our stay longer. Great time, great course, great people!

Beechwood is in fantastic condition all around. Tee Boxes A+ Fairways A+ Greens A+ Unfortunately we drove an hour yesterday to play a round here and were unaware that they had just punched the greens and covered them in sand but they provided a discount for the inconvenience and the greens still rolled decent otherwise. The greens are all elevated and on the smaller side so it can be tough at times, once the greens recover from aeration I believe that they will be in pristine condition. The restaurant across the street was very nice as well with great menu options. It’s an outdoor setting but…

Excellent all around. Drove up from Raleigh and was not disappointed. Course is in great condition. Tee boxes are in great shape, fairways are clean (meaning this time of year, no leaves, pine needles, etc.) and the greens...just incredible. Really pleased with the total experience. Felt very welcomed by the staff. Appreciated the course overview from James before we hit the course. Definitely on my list for a return visit.

Paid my first visit to Beechwood Country Club on Nov. 3, 2024, and it definitely won't be my last. The hospitality is top notch. I was greeted warmly in the pro shop by Cassidy who gave me the lay of the land. The pro, James, took a few moments to chat as well. The course is in immaculate condition. It's very open, so keeping the ball in play isn't too difficult. The greens are crowned, undulating, and fast and they roll true. It was the most enjoyable round I've played in a long time. I drove an hour and fifteen minutes from Virginia Beach, but it was definitely worth it. Make sure to visit t…

Second time playing here. First time its was a blast but they just sanded the greens so we didnt get the true Beechwood course experience. This time we got there early and played the par 3 course before lunch. Super fun course although the pin location of the fourth hole was almost impossible to make a putt on. If it didnt go in from a ways out it was back down the hill. Crazy but fun. Lunch was fair priced and delicious. Hailey was fantastic. The main course was once again in great condition and a blast. Greens are absolutely brutal though. You can easily turn a 8 footer into a 20 footer. The…

Course was absolutely beautiful and in championship level shape. Staff was very friendly and welcoming being my first time visiting . Range balls were included in the green fee which was a plus. Nice practice area for putting and chipping. Beware, the greens are super quick with challenging slopes! enjoyed it

Played here today(10-18). Made the drive from southeastern Va. Seriously cant believe this place is only $49. Super friendly young lady at the front desk. Course was in top notch condition. Boxes, fairways, and greens were perfect. Greend were fast and receptive. Only complaint was the first cut is thick, lost some balls on good shots. Maintenance out working the entire time, course was beautiful. Pace of play was perfect. This pace blows away courses where I live that are twice as much. Will def be back.

Course is beautiful and well manicured. This course is the most difficult that are group of 50 play. Greens are small, hard and super fast. Fairways are in good condition but there is no graduation to the rough. It is three or more inches deep. Hard to find your ball and really difficult for a mid handicap to get out of. Our whole group shot on average 8 strokes above normal. Bring some extra balls and plan to spend some time looking for your ball if your not in the fairway.
