In summary

Valley Pine Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and well-maintained greens, with some visitors noting the course's simplicity and enjoyable layout. The club offers good amenities, including new golf carts, and provides a challenging experience with its small, fast greens. However, some players have mentioned rough fairways, slow pace of play due to lack of course rangers, and limited nearby dining options.

Only played it once and had a blast. If you're looking for a challenge, the black tees play 6700 yards. We played the blues at 6300. It's flat with small elevated tees. Beautiful mature pine trees separate the fairways but you'll find your ball in the needles. If you're looking for a 5, 4 or even 3 star course this isn't it. Part of the challenge is the greens that hadn't been mowed in ever, the pot hole bunkers (with no rakes in sight), and trying to find grass on the fairways. We also found carts with the extra fluffy seats, which was nice. I would play again but I love all golf courses 🤷

Beat 2 excellent golfers on this course today. They played their hearts out but couldn't handle the course in not so pristine conditions. Greens were a little furry and fairways although not bad they did have some bare spots. It didn't matter like them you will have to take most of your shots from pine straw and bunkers don't have rakes. If you have the golf bug this will scratch the itch and if you play with good players they will have an excuse when they lose or shoot a bad score. If you're in the area swing in and enjoy a round.

Short and flat course out in the middle of nowhere. Excellent golf carts. Course is generally flat and wide open. Water only factors on a couple of holes. Fairways and tee boxes are...a bit rough. Greens are small, pristine and very fast. Hole position made it nearly impossible to stick a ball near the cup. Plan on grabbing a bite in Roanoke Rapids, as there's nothing nearby for food.

What a hidden gem in Lasker NC. It's a simple design of a course, but it's 18 holes and in excellent shape. Brand new gas carts aswell. Give it a shot people.

Valley Pine is a great track, challenging, small greens that will hold a good shot and, for the most part, putt smooth. Fairway grass is thick.

Just left there . Group of four in front of me . I was playing alone and had to wait the whole front 9 . Got on the back 9 and had 2 groups of 5 in front of me . Picked up my ball and left . Course had no ranger.
