Blackmoor Golf Club is appreciated for its enjoyable course layout, particularly the dog-legs, and generally well-maintained greens and fairways, offering good value for money. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors have reported negative interactions with certain staff members, particularly rangers, and have noted issues with course conditions such as uneven tees and maintenance disruptions.

Early morning tee time on a weekday was quite enjoyable. Not particularly long, but challenging course with a lot of right dog-legs. Everything was well maintained and in good shape for a mid-March round. One of the best bang for your buck golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area.

We had a nice round of golf. The course was in decent shape, given the drought conditions. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The men’s tees were a little uneven and didn’t have a lot of grass. The women’s tees were in better condition and fairly placed. I enjoy this course every time we play.

Nice course with lots of doglegs. I was torn between a 3 or 4 star but decided on the 4 because the greens were way too nice for a 3. The course was saturated though, even though there has been no rain for a while. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Blackmoor was an awesome course to play. Beautiful layout, Friendly staff, and the greens are well kept! It was my first time playing at Blackmoor so not sure if the driving range is always tight the way it was when I was there. Overall, great course my wife loved it being a beginner golfer. One of her new fav’s. We’ll definitely be coming back to play again!

I really wanted to like Blackmoor Golf Course. The layout is decent, the fairways and greens are in fair shape, and it has the potential to be an enjoyable round. We played on November 7th, 2025 we had a group of 6 and called ahead to play together. Said we should be fine. Unfortunately, all of that got overshadowed by one thing: the attitude of the ranger. From the start, his tone and behavior were unnecessarily aggressive. Instead of offering helpful guidance or maintaining the flow of play like a good ranger should, he seemed to go out of his way to be rude and confrontational. He spoke dow…

★☆☆☆☆ Great course and friendly front staff, but a condescending ranger ruined our visit. We booked 18 holes for 6 guys to tee off around 2:30 pm on 11/7/25 on our Myrtle Beach boys’ trip, choosing this course because of how “nice” it was supposed to be. Shortly before arrival we were told they close at 5:30 pm, so our 18 would be cut to 9. Frustrating, but we accepted it and still checked in. The cart/bag attendant was excellent, the front desk was friendly, we paid for our tee times, and headed out. The issue started on the green of hole 1. A course ranger rolled up and immediately barked…

Called to get a tee time for the following day and the guy was super rude. He ask if I was going to play in the rain. Rain wasn’t even forecasted till afternoon. I wasn’t calling a meteorologist for the forecast. I was calling to get a tee time to spend time with my son. Not the first time I had a problem with rude guy at the checking people in at the clubhouse.

I made t time thru golf app and when we arrived at course we were informed they over seeded fairways and it was cart path only. Went into the pro shop and asked if my husband could get handicap flag he can’t walk course they said no. I said well can we get a refund, I believe it was a manager who said no you get a rain check. I informed him we were on vacation and had no plans of returning any time soon. He didn’t care. Said I’ll give you a rain check and that was it. He was not very pleasant. This was not our fault that they over seeded. We met our part of the bargain and showed up for golf.…

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Carts have GPS and Bluetooth. Greens and fairways both in very good condition, with on-going course maintenance very evident. A fun, friendly course, especially if you like dog-leg right!

Great course with kind and knowledgeable staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my round here up until the 17th hole. There was some construction/maintenance going on, and the person operating one of the pieces of heavy equipment not only refused to shut his motor off or at the very least throttle back while I tried off, but almost seemed like he was intentionally trying to piss me off or mess with me. It was so obvious that my girlfriend who had never set foot on a golf course until joining me on this outing while on vacation even said something. Would have given 5 stars if not for that unfortunate inci…

The golf course is presently in a state of significant disrepair, exhibiting pronounced deterioration through the presence of mud, weeds, and poorly maintained greens and fairways. Having played this course for seven years, I have never witnessed such a pronounced decline in its condition. It ranks as the most poorly managed golf course I have had the experience of playing, and it appears that its high tee time prices belie its evident lack of investment, suggesting it may be facing significant operational challenges.

The course is not in good shape. Weeds surround the greens and fairways. The greens are bumpy making them difficult to putt. I’ve always enjoyed playing Blackmoor, but will not return.
