The resort offers a peaceful setting, ideal for both golf enthusiasts and those looking for a quiet getaway. We’ve been coming to Calabogie Highlands Golf Resort year after year, and they never fail to impress. The course is consistently in fantastic shape—beautifully manicured fairways, challenging greens, and stunning views. What really sets them apart, though, is how incredible they are with groups. We brought a crew of 11 guys this year, and the staff was phenomenal. Organizing golf for a group that size can usually be a logistical headache, but they accommodated us seamlessly. They really understood the vibe of our trip, allowing us to be social, have an absolute blast, and enjoy each other's co…

Well loved our time here, loved our one bedroom villa. We stayed for 3 days but we had originally only booked two nights but wanted to stay an extra to do more sledding. The trails were magnificent so we just couldn’t leave yet. Our villa was so clean and well appointed. We dealt with Andrea which levelled up our stay, she was so so lovely and an accommodating. Thank you again Andrea for making our stay feel easy. We are at The Social which was also great, a very inviting environment and some good food to boot! We will stay here again for sure! This was a great three days.

The resort is in a remote location, making it a quiet getaway. The golf course is picturesque and well maintained, a definite highlight of the property. The rooms are satisfactory—some upgrades have been made, though a few areas could still use finishing touches. Beyond golf, a bike and walking path are available, and there’s a fire pit for relaxing in the evenings, but there isn’t much else to do in the immediate area. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to golf and unwind, this is a good choice. A short drive away you can rent paddle boards and kayak. There’s also a local brewery and pub…

What an amazing place in Barryvale, very close to Calabogie. Golf course, villa, the water and the Social House are all within walking distance. The service was excellent and the amenities were very good. I will return for sure.

I have used Calabogie Highland golf resort several times over the years for my annual Swine Cup golf tournament. The staff are amazing, the course is challenging and the villas for a stayover are perfect. The units are showing some wear and tear over the years and could use some TLC, but are clean and perfect for a boys weekend away. The price is competitive too.

Just spend 2 days at Calabogie Highland Golf Course, staff was friendly, the unit was very spacious unfortunately it was not the cleanest.I did mention this to the receptionist but no one seemed to care. No one came to see or offered to clean it. We took some time to clean the space ourselves.

This is an older timeshare resort that didn’t sell their inventory. They have simple made vacant units available to the public. Other than the remoteness and golf it offers very little. There is no beach, pool, or playground. Even amenities such as laundry in-suite or even on site is not available. You will need a vehicle so so anything, as even the town of Calabogie is a 10 minute drive. Or 2 hour walk around the lake. Unfortunately based on my experience we cannot recommend.

The golf course has a nice layout, with some very picturesque holes and is a decent challenge . As of mid June (2025), course was still on a little rough condition from winter, however, you could see repair work in progress and the green fees were affordable enough to compensate for the condition. (use a cart as there are plenty of hills). Friendly staff, I will be back.

A friend and I drove over a hour and were excited to check out this course on a beautiful fall sunday morning. We were riding and were paired up with another twosome walking and teed off. Upon checking in there was a dog off leash roaming around that seemed to belong to the owner. Expecting the dog to be kept near or in the clubhouse for what one would think would be OBVIOUS reasons… I was surprised when it ran up to us beside the first green. It then proceeded to lie down about 100 yards directly in the middle of the next fairway we were shooting at. As I stood on the teebox not wanting risk…

This review is only about the golf course as we did not stay over. It’s only about a 50-minute drive from Kanata. The layout is interesting, with a few elevated tee boxes that offer great views and some fun shot making opportunities. It’s on the tougher side to walk, with some longer gaps between holes and elevation changes, but still very doable if you're up for a it. It was about $100 for two at weekend prime time, solid value compared to other courses closer to home, definitely worth the trip.

My husband and I did the stay and play package. We had so much fun. Shawn in the pro shop was so accommodating and really made our experience the best. Victoria day long weekend the course was packed but everyone was so nice and we tee'd off perfectly so that it wasn't backed up. We will definitely be back. Course was beautiful. Greens are fast.
