In summary

Cape Ann Golf Course is widely praised for its well-maintained condition, scenic views, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both local and visiting golfers. The course's layout, with its wide fairways and challenging par 4s, is appreciated, as is the year-round playability and the on-site Fairways Pub offering excellent food. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and occasional unprofessional behavior from staff, which can detract from the overall experience.

This might be the best 9 hole in new england. Great staff. Incredible condition. I don’t even want to post this review because it’s such a gem. To the owner and staff- your hardwork has not gone unnoticed. This is my favorite place on earth.

I happily drive almost 1.5 hours from the South Shore to play here. Great staff, excellent food and the condition and scenery are wonderful. Bring bug repellent if you are playing towards dusk. Give yourself extra time to park. Senior discount too :)

It was a dark and wet morning but the drizzle let up and I played 18 holes back to back on this 9 hole course. The variations in elevation as well as the nicely contoured green, gave an interesting challenge to the round. Greens were great, tee boxes overall were in good shape, fairways were also in great shape. I highly recommend this course if you are looking for a reasonably priced public course.

Friendly staff, pace of play can be kind of slow but if you’re playing here you really shouldn’t be in a rush to go anywhere anyway. The greens were just aerated a week before we played but overall they weren’t too tricky (the final green actually had a nice bowl shape to it too ).

Would not recommend if you’re not a member. The pro was rude, and the starter of the day was making slick comments during my backswing on the first tee box. He proceeded to laugh after a bad shot. At the end of the round, he made comments to my group about wearing a hat backwards. Extremely unprofessional

What a Diamond-in-the-ruff course (not my ball). A very scenic nine hole course that is well manicured. After golf I had a refreshing beer in an ice cold mug along with amazing fresh Essex clams lightly battered and fried with homemade onion rings.

Very average golf course. I hate saying that but the cart paths were not very good and the course was just average. Also the man in the pro shop was kinda snarky.

Very rude talking poorly about our golf skills very uncomfortable for new golfers. ranger was making slick comments about us in our backswings. After round ranger didn’t see me coming and was talking badly about my friends for wearing hats backwards on the course. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Cape Ann is a gem! I’m from Maine and each year I begin and end my golf season here. As a really, REALLY(!) diehard New England golfer, I am so appreciative of a course that is available for play all year long. A beautiful tract of land, very playable, accommodating & friendly staff, great overall experience. The hour-and-a-half drive down there to play is always worth it!

Great North shore golf course, wide open and very forgiving. Inexpensive and friendly staff great for novice as well as beginner golfers

Really nice 9 hole course with wide fairways, decent length for only par 3's and 4's and open year round. Gorgeous views but very open to wind. You can walk 18 holes within 4 hours easily. Definitely a good option any time but especially when the other courses are closed.
