In summary

Caroline & District Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, laid-back atmosphere, and fun, challenging layout, making it a popular choice for casual outings and events. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the greens, which are often described as poorly maintained and in need of improvement. While the course offers an enjoyable experience for those seeking a relaxed round, some feel the pricing does not align with the current condition of the facilities.

I very much hoped to like this course. The lay out is unique, with some wide open fairways, challenging 'shoot' drives and what-not. However, the greens are just soil piled-up, rolled at bit, with little to no maintenance. The holes haven't been moved in years. Putting is like playing plinko. For the cost to play, I expected more.

So much fun. This is such a great place to have a bachelor party or a fun tournament, it may not be in tip top shape but it is such a fun place to go. Staff is incredible and accommodating, they really know how to set the tone for a fun afternoon. Highly recommend if you are looking to have fun with buddies!

Fun, affordable course with laid back staff. Greens need a little work but great layout, fun courses. Nice staff. Great for golfers who are just looking for a fun day of golfing with friends.

This is a great course to take your kids who are learning to play golf - except it may be too long for young ones. If you're a semi-serious golfer you might be disappointed. The fairways are an unmaintained field full of clover weeds. They are mowed, but not ideal for golfing in. As mentioned by other reviews, the greens are not good at all. I think this has the potential to be a really fun course, but the owners would need a commitment to upgrade the maintenance. For the cost to play I expected a better course than it was. All in all there were some good things about it, but again, if you're…

Pros: Super laid back course, friendly folks, almost completely empty, challenging holes Cons: Poorly maintained, greens are atrocious. If you want to go out and get some practice, play multiple balls, bring the family (including dogs) and not take things too seriously this is the place for you. I like this course but it's probably not for everyone. It is not very well maintained. The greens in particular are very rough. And it costs probably more than it should. However, I always have fun here and there are quite a few challenging holes.

You should be paid by this course to play there. This is the worst course I’ve played. “Greens” look like they haven’t been watered in 6 years. Trees in the middle of the green, tee boxes full of roots, 30 minute wait for a hot dog, maintenance seems non existent. Is absolutely despicable they charge what they do for a round.

Not worth the money at all. Greens are brown and dead grass. The course is not taken care of at all. Spend your money elsewhere. $48 for 9 holes is too much for this barely acceptable golf course.

This place is hidden little gem!! It's privately owned and run and very simple. There's no dress code and it's a very casual environment.... Oh, and it is incredibly well priced, best value in Central Alberta!! Don't expect a competition ready course or a posh club house but do expect to have a good time!!

I’m not an expert golfer, but I like the new management and how they take care of the course and clubhouse. I can tell they really care about the course, the business and the customers.
