What People Say

In summary

Chambers County Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable prices, and well-maintained course, particularly the greens. Many golfers enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the ongoing renovations to improve the layout. However, some visitors have experienced issues with pace of play, customer service, and course conditions, such as worn tee boxes and patchy greens. Additionally, there are concerns about limited playing hours and certain amenities, like ice availability.

Front 9 is closed till Labor Day 2026. Once the newly redesigned front 9 opens, then the back 9 will close for one year. Considering that i played the same 9 holes twice, it was still a very enjoyable round until the 13th hole when i got stuck behind 2 of the slowest, most horrible golfers one could ever imagine. Not only did they suck at golf, they sucked even worse at knowing the USGA rules of play! With the exception of that, it was a good round. The staff here are the nicest people on the planet. Course is well maintained. Pretty good fairways, excellent greens but faster than the speed of…

This place is great. Had to play the back 9 twice due to upgrading the front. Walk in and we were greeted by the ProShop Lady who was super nice! Course in good shape and also taken care of. BYOB but plenty of free Ice and Water. Wonder if they are going to go up on price once construction is completed. Watch out, Marshall does his job!

Drove 40 min because I couldn’t pass up the deal on GolfNow. 18 for $20? Sign me up. I was expecting a horrible course and when I drove up it looked like a construction zone so I almost packed up. I went inside and everyone was friendly and welcoming. They explained they are remodeling the front 9 and we play the back 9 2x. Regardless of this minor speed bump I was impressed and for the bang for my buck nothing comes close. The course was not perfect but it was well maintained and the greens get a solid 7.3/10 mainly because two of 9 had dirt in small spots.

Probably should advertise course closes at 7:30.. called and booked a tee time for 4 o clock Sunday and asked if we would be allowed to finish 18, answer was yes, no worries... Marshall pulled up to warn us on hole 14 at 7 o clock, so we skip 14, finish 15 and 16, skip 17 and tee off on 18 at 7:25. Marshal tells us to pick up our balls in the fairway, no respect from that old man.... Drove an hour for this golf course and had money on the line going into 18, let us finish the hole.. Never again. Golf course is not the same, lost my business. Should spend that last hour before dark getting all…

Nice quiet and homey course. Course was in good conditions although the grass on greens seem to be relatively new so a bit slow. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, like I said a very cozy environment. I saw a few patches here and there but overall had no issues playing. Looking forward to revisit in about two three months when the greens are more settled. Overall had a good time.

You would think customer service would be top priority for a golf course. Being greeted or being welcomed with a smile is non existent. Acting like they saw a ghost anytime I walk in. Staring at me like they’re confused why I’m there. The dry energy needs to go!! Welcome people with a smile!! It’s a beautiful day for golf! Hope you play well! Have a good game! SOMETHING other than a blank stare.

Under the management of John Parrot the course has truly been restored to desirable conditions. With more upgrades/renovations coming soon this course is unbeatable at this price point!

The greens are absolutely trash. Looks like making no attempt to fix. Mostly dirt. The rest of the course good. It's always the same excuse fungus. Talk about not having money to fix. Fix it and the money will come. I'm a member at this course nut I choose to play anywhere but here. I don't know how this course has a 4.4 score.
