In summary

Crystal Beach Community Golf Course is appreciated for its relaxed, laid-back atmosphere and unique beachside setting, offering a fun and affordable golf experience with an honor system payment approach. Many visitors enjoy the challenging layout with blind shots and water hazards, as well as the friendly staff and opportunity to play all day for a single fee. However, some golfers note the rough condition of the greens and fairways, and the presence of mosquitoes and other insects can be a drawback, making bug spray a recommended necessity.

Nice course. Played 9 holes with a cart for $25 per person. Challenging with a lot of water. We laughed about all the "bunkers" since it's right off the beach. It's in pretty good shape for a small course. $25 will get you 18 holes too.

The course is a nice diversion from the beach experience. I've played it over the course of the last 4 years during the week of our family vacation. I look forward to the next round every time I leave the last one. If you come expecting to find the greatest golf course ever, you're focusing on the wrong thing. What you will find is the opportunity to play in winds that you may not be used to, occasional sightings of sea life and the challenge that comes with putting on *fuzzy* greens. Leave your long irons in the vehicle and figure out your midiron game. Enjoy the hospitality and the golf esca…

I visited here (rode in cart) with my husband on Easter Sunday. The honor system is very kind and refreshing. And the ladies bathroom is thoughtful and clean! I know this isn’t a review of the actual course. But there were no mosquitoes as others have complained about. And the course seemed as well kept as it could be under the conditions of being at the beach.

The ranch nearby isn’t crowded and it’s so much fun to hang out with my family! We’re staying just minutes away at Beachside RV Park, renting for only $600 with all the amenities like Wi-Fi, free laundry, a dog park, and more. Super convenient and affordable!

Fun Course. It's Crystal Beach not Augusta set expectations accordingly. Lots of blind shots. 150 yardage marker on all holes.

Well that was fun!! Challenging putting surface and I think it’s ok to play winter rules and move your ball from dirt to grass. Very relaxed play, all day for one price which also includes a cart. Talked with some very nice locals!

This course was everything we needed it to be. They trust you to pay the green fee and take care of their carts. Let’s not mess this up folks!! Not too many places you can play barefoot like John Dailey. We didn’t even get ate up by skeeters!! Would highly recommend. Thanks for giving us a golf option in Crystal Beach.

They used to have a fee for 9 holes. NO MORE. Now it's $25 for 9, 18, 36, or 54??? For 9 holes at that price I want grass on the greens and the fairways!! Handed my money to some guy, don't know if he worked there or if I was providing him and his buddies beer money. Use to play several times a summer while visiting relatives. Will have to reconsider. Sent a note to their website that was promptly responded to and forwarded to.... Last I heard from them.

BRING BUG SPRAY. tons of mosquitos and fire ants. It was fun but this is not a normal course. The entire course and esp the greens are very rough. no yardage markers and no GPS mapping of the course so you are guessing distances. a lot of blind shots and a lot of water so unless you really hit it straight you will lose balls.

Fun 9 hole course, laid back no polo's needed, perfect for relaxed play with the high handicap boys. Bug spray a necessity tho.

Friendly staff and easy to play (not crowded). 9 holes with very slow greens and very basic course.
