My son and I had a fantastic time playing here twice over Thanksgiving break. Course was in excellent condition, prices are good and the people here are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Has a great time grouped into a foursome as a single! Course was above expectations for sure, I actually plan to revisit when the weather is better! Nice conditions and amenities.

BEAUTIFUL golf course! I'd recommend it again and again. The lady in the pro shop was the sweetest person ever. The course is very well taken care with lots and lots of surroundings water. Everyone is helpful and nice around the course. If you get a chance to go I wouldn't hesitate to book a tee time.

the course is absolutely beautifull!! i am posting this on oct 16 2025 for reference to the time of year. i dont think you can find a finer public course in the houston/ galveston area. they really do a great job of being consistant on the green speeds and all the greens look and feel great. i have been a member at bay oaks country club of houston and can honestly say that moody’s greens compete with them. AGAIN moody is public and not private so i want to emphasize that. All of the tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers were all very well maintained as well. the nice lady working at the pro shop wa…

I really enjoyed golfing here. The course is well maintained and the course marshal was very friendly. With 5 tee blocks, this course is well suited to all skill levels. If you enjoy golf and find yourself in Galveston, definitely worth shooting a round.

Highly rated in Dallas morning news if top 50 in the state. Glad I drove down from San Antonio. Friendly staff, good size putting green and driving range. Course was in great condition. Greens ran true and smooth. Challenging course, more water hazards on back 9 than front. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

First time playing here as I was visiting from out of town. Reasonable rate of $45 for a Saturday. The course is challenging because there are some narrow fairways. I was upset that they didn't advise me on the pro shop that holes 8 and 9 with par 4s were turned into par 3s. Hole 8 was 100 yds and home 9 was on 65. This is something they should offer discounts for. Lots of water on this course and some very thick grass and rough. It's tough finding your ball if it's not in the short stuff. Plenty of sand on the course as well. I'd play it again but I will say that it's nothing special to drive…

Very nice course! Greens are well maintained. Friendly staff and nice pro shop. Yes a few mosquitoes but HELLO you're near the marshy area of the bay. Bring the bug spray and you will be fine. The gulf breeze kept them at bay for us. Ha! See what I did there. We will play there again.

Come for the Golf, Stay for the Mosquitoes Tried to tee off at 4 PM on a Monday at Moody Gardens Golf Course—huge mistake. The mosquito situation was next level. I couldn’t take a swing without being dive-bombed by what felt like a small air force. I rushed through the back nine just to escape with some blood left. Called to let management know, and John (the manager) gave me some excellent advice: I should try golfing in the winter… or better yet, volunteer for Galveston County Mosquito Control in my spare time. Because that’s what you want to hear after paying for a miserable round—sarcasm,…

Clubhouse staff was very nice. Cart lady was wonderful. Starters/rangers were some of the biggest jerks I have ever interacted with on a golf course. We were treated like children and monitored like prisoners on house arrest for 18 holes. We had two tee times back to back and we wanted to play with the 6 golfers in our group to keep our group together because there weren't any tee times after us for 20 minutes and we didn't see anyone ahead of us for at least 4 holes. We were playing a best ball scramble so we figured it would help speed things up, and we promised to keep pace of play and eve…

I’d rather floss with barbed wire and wipe with sandpaper than set foot here again. The staff treated us like we’d personally ruined their lives just by showing up. Absolute waste of oxygen, money, and a perfectly good Saturday. Zero stars. Negative stars. I want my memories erased.
