I love the relaxed vibe of this course. Service is great, people are friendly, equipment is well maintained, and they have some fun holes. 17 was my favorite. This is a great club for beginners that may feel a little intimidated at other courses.

We recently had the opportunity to play at Chiefland Golf and Country Club, and while the overall experience was pleasant, I must note that the greens were quite sandy. The course layout at Chiefland Golf and Country Club is both challenging and picturesque. The lush green fairways are beautifully maintained, providing a great backdrop for a round of golf. However, the greens, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations as they had a noticeable sandy texture. This made putting a bit more challenging and less enjoyable. On a positive note, the staff at Chiefland Golf and Country Club were fri…

It’s a bit of a haul from Gainesville, but we still make the trek once a month to play at the “Home of the Rye Grass”, especially considering the fact that Turkey Creek and Ironwood continue to raise their green fees. The track is challenging, and the people really make the course. GREAT bar, and a TON of golf balls, gloves, and snacks are there if you forgot something. We just love it out there.

Great folks, decent course. Prime location. Very good value considering the reasonable price. Had a 3 hour round this morning. You need to hit them straight here!

The course and equipment need some major work. I wish they would invest some time and money. I like the course and it's the only one less than an hour from my home. The staff are friendly as well as most of the other golfers. If the owners or management read this review. I'd offer to help fix equipment (mowers, carts, etc) and even routine maintenance. I'd hate to see this course close.

Love this course. Great layout and the staff is awesome. There is one serious problem playing here though. There is absolutely no golf etiquette. 5 and 6 people playing in one group and please inform your golfers that it is courteous to allow smaller groups to play thru. I was a single player and it took me 21/2 hous to play 14 holes. I finally just quit.

Course is like similar other courses of a municipal nature. Wide open and very laid back. They are also the closest bar to Manatee Springs State Park. Be advised that I was told today that you cannot go have a drink at the bar unless you are golfing. The woman there said it was part of their liquor license. Who knows. I have never heard of that but you are also in a town of 3k people. So while their website advertises a bar there is a catch. If you are looking for a cold one, head to the Billiards Sports Bar in town.

I enjoy the layout on this course. One cannot get in too much trouble unless you're out of the fairway and in the trees but other than that there's not a lot of hazards people are friendly greens are nice.
