What People Say

In summary

The Mark Bostick Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent condition, challenging layout, and well-maintained greens, making it a popular choice for both students and seasoned golfers. The course, designed by Donald Ross and later redesigned by Bobby Weed, offers a unique and enjoyable playing experience with its strategic design and fast greens. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about management issues, including customer service, communication regarding tee times, and occasional staff rudeness, which they feel detracts from the overall experience.

November 3, 2025: Everthing is great here! It's like putting on glass. What a wonderful time to play this fun and challenging course! Circa August, 2021: A great, fun, and challenging course. Greens are small, slower than normal (this time), and elevated. A lot of doglegs and forced longs. Need high approach shots for balls to sit on the greens.

My first time playing a few weeks ago and course was in excellent condition it felt like I was playing a private country club. While the course is only a par 70 it is still very challenging with all the par 5’s uphill in some way or another. Despite its small footprint the course doesn’t feel overwhelming narrow and there is still some areas to miss. Would definitely recommend walking and cant wait to play again when I’m in the area.

Very nice golf course. Par 70 with lots of open fairways and plenty of hazards. It is very well maintained. Many of the greens are elevated and very undulating.

This is the worst run golf course I have ever been to in my entire life. The staff has no proper golf club training and I have never seen nor met the golf pros. This course’s beauty and maintenance is so awesome but wasted due to the service. Almost all the workers are rude and bland. The range is too short with bad mats and terrible range balls. The course is so often closed or blocked off for the 30 collegiate level golfers when the college golfers aren’t even there. The parking lot is not big enough as well. I really hope the management and the university can clean up the way the course is…

Nice course but very poorly managed especially the pro shop. Really bad communication especially with tee times. One time I went and was told they were completely booked and didn’t see anybody on the 1st tee for the next 45 minutes. The range had been mats every single time I’ve went. They also need to work on updating their website because there had been multiple times i’ve gone for there to be a sign at the front saying that the course is close but there is no updates on the website. Nice course but really just has to work on customer service.

Most challenging medium length course I’ve ever played. Greens were fast and course was in great shape! The home course I would want as a college golfer.

Paid 300$ for 4 of us to golf and halfway through got yelled at for not all having our own sets of clubs. What a life, walking around confronting broke college students about dumb crap like that. Never coming back.

This is a fun and beautiful golf course which doesn't punish you too badly if you go astray. Golf director Scott and his guys particularly including Skyler make you feel very welcome and ensure you'll have a good experience.

Played a round on 5/17/25. Course in good shape. My problem is not course related. After my round I left a Bushnell Wingman view Blue tooth speaker in the golf cart. When I realized my blunder the next day, I called the pro shop and no speaker had been placed with the lost & found. I then visited the pro shop and described the employee who was working the cart return when I left the cart there (1 employee and my cart was the only one there for return at that moment). Employee was off. There was no speaker in Lost & found. I filed a report with police and they could not find speaker in Lost and…
