West End Golf Course

Depending on what you are looking for will determine if you like or dislike West End. Pros: 1. Cheap 2. Play at night under the lights 3. Location-Across from Tioga Town Center (Multiple, quality dining venues) 4. Range is nowhere near the quality of other ranges but they have one and you can shoot under the lights 5. Friday night at 8pm and I load up the clubs and drive out to WestEnd to hit some balls. They close at 10 but tonight they have randomly decided to stop selling range balls at 8pm. I could have lived with that but the guy at the desk gets an attitude with me and says "If you dont like it talk to the manager". I will do more than that, pal. Myself, my son, my brother-in-law who play there quite often wont ever play there again. Excellent work.

Hoping to have a nice, quiet, and easy last game of golf before our next child is born (I'm 7.5 months pregnant), my husband and I went to West End Golf course. I have been playing at this course since I was a kid, even played varsity golf with Oak Hall there, and have always loved it and loved the people working there. West End is a narrow, difficult golf course with many trees overhanging fairways making a good second shot (or even tee ball) impossible. The condition of grass in the fairways is very poor to just not there. The greens are better but most greens are very bad condition indicating poor maintenance. The inside staff needs to decide if they want a job or if they want to go home and take a nap. The bright spot is the starter who knows about customer service. $15 for twilight golf includes a cart. Not sure how anyone could complain about that! You get what you pay for, and there is a lot of work that needs to be done. But it seems like the owners are attempting to put some work into it and it has potential! Will for sure go back again for a cheap and quick round.

Beautiful course although the staff really are terrible. I've spent over 300$ here in the past two weeks going golfing and out of the 6 times I've played I've had to STOP in the middle of my game to go back to the clubhouse and there is never reimbursment. Last night, I went for an 18 hole game and was on the 12th hole and the lights on the course wouldn't come on and the guy at the front desk neglected to tell me they weren't turning on the lights on the course tonight, and gave me no explanation. The driving range is a mess. Terrible balls--if you scoop a bucket without looking, you'll get about 15 broken balls. These things are old. And the "new" balls are Srixon distance robbers. The range is just too small, and it doesn't help the nets are shredded. Was told while paying that no drivers are allowed for the foreseeable future. The place is a joke.

My husband and I always have a good time here. For $8 you can spend an hour or two on the driving range. But, as of July 1st they're raising prices. That $8 will now become $10. Still a pretty good deal though!

Always wonderful. The people that work there are very friendly and go out of there way to be helpful. The whole course is well kept from the driving range, practice greens, every fairway and green very well kept.

Went in at 7:30pm to order two burgers to go and the cook told me "We close at 8 O'Clock." I said,"it's only 7:30," but she would not make me a burger, preferring to sit at a table with her cell phone, drawing a salary for nothing until 8:00.

I always wonder why anyone would go here. Terrible conditions, run down and not maintained, awful greens. Everything broken or almost broken. Driving range mats all torn up and worn out. Range balls worn out. It does have lights so you could hit balls after dark, but its so awful I don't go.
