In summary

Meadowbrook Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and budget-friendly rates, with some visitors enjoying the overall layout and practice facilities. However, many golfers express dissatisfaction with the condition of the greens, describing them as sandy and difficult to play on, and note issues with course maintenance and management. Additionally, some have experienced slow pace of play and inadequate facilities, such as limited restroom availability and a lack of refreshments.

Weather is beautiful today. Greens are slowww as Christmas 2026, lol Someone needs to cut the grass on the greens. Closed for maintenance on Monday's would suggest they would be a little tighter.

Greens? Never seen them. There are 18 holes surrounded by beach. Be sure to bring your favorite sand wedge so you can putt. The spot has potential, but at this point in time the cost does not justify the beach trip that we were sent on. Management did say that the irrigation system was fixed 2 weeks ago and it would take time for the greens to grow back. I mostly mad that I just forgot my sandcastle making kit at home.

Over all an enjoyable golf experience for the price and location. It does get back up, parts of the greens and fairways are biffed up. Lots of thick brush so if you lose your ball just keep looking youll find another. Anyone saying 1 or 2 stars is hating

For $50 it was awful. How can you pay a green fee for greens like this? Fairways were a lot better but couldn’t putt on many of the greens. Overbooked as well with no ranger to keep pace of play going which caused huge backups. The holes were still fun but some tee boxes were too close to the greens of the hole behind you, which wasn’t always safe. Only giving 2 stars because the staff was nice and the range was good. Still had fun but wouldn’t play for more than $20.

This course is a disaster. I have been coming here from up North for the last 10 years and every year it gets worse .So disappointing. Last year, I was told that they had hired a new greens superintendant but it sure doesn't look like it. The greens are impossible to putt on. The driving range is in terrible shape. I really don't understand how they've managed to let this course get so bad.

It was looking great for a couple of years, and you can tell the funds and support haven't been there to upkeep the awesome practice range. The course was pretty good regardless, which was a nice surprise!

Greens and fairways are abysmal. Driving range is a joke. $50 green fees is robbery. Course ranger took me out of my cart and put me with a random, when we both paid for our own carts, when there was not a tee time behind us, just so he and his huge group of friends could have their own carts for a later tee time. Like 8-10 guys with their own carts all in one group. Another ranger and the gentleman in the club house told us it happens all the time which is insane. Just go to Turkey Creek if you’re in Gainesville.

Pro shop staff was nice, fairways were pretty well kept however the greens on most holes were destroyed, none existent and all sand. Luckily, a worker sparked up a conversation in the parking lot while loading up a big and warned us about the greens so we weren’t fully surprised. Was a bit disappointed the pro shop didn’t mention it though, and for $50/round, I wouldn’t go back.

The greens are still terrible but that's not my big gripe here. We showed up just before 10 am to check in, the bar/restaurant was not even open yet and we walked in to check in and my brother had an energy drink in his hand. Two women wearing Classy Chics shirts who are now contracted to run the bar and food were sitting at the bar going over paperwork turned and told my brother he needed to leave because he couldn't have that in here. He said oh this is an energy drink, she said it don't matter there's no outside food or drink. He said oh I'm just checking in and leaving but they still made…

Not a bad spot, needs a little maintenance but it's great if you're in a budget. Their customer service and hospitality is great, Sarah was the venue's lead, very professional, happy to help out.

I like that the range has lights. However, for the course, the greens are not great, many patches. But I do like the relaxed feel. Great, starter course.

Potential to be a really nice course, seems like a change in mgmt or something. Had a sign hanging in the Pro shop stating a top course... in 2008. Only 1 bathroom open had a washer/dryer machine in it? Other one was closed and under construction. No food, no drinks. So plan ahead. For the price you pay, you'd expect a lot more. The "greens" were unputtable. Golf cart seats had duct tape holding them together. Overall, if you are desperate you are still able to golf. But know what you are walking into.
