In summary

Crooked Tree Golf Club is highly regarded for its pristine course conditions, challenging layout, and stunning views, particularly on the back nine. The course offers a variety of tee options catering to different skill levels, and the staff is frequently praised for their helpfulness and professionalism. Some visitors express concerns about the high pricing and occasional issues with the GPS system in carts, as well as limited access to drinking water on the course.

Played 9 after a meeting. The course has many tee options with ratings for men and women at each option. Positional play is forced on many holes and the GPS on the carts is a great "caddie". Well maintained and appreciate range included in the green fee.

Crooked Tree is a decent layout. I'm not sure what the day rate is as it was part of our package. The range was in poor shape at 1pm on a Sunday. The course was in good shape. It's unnecessarily tricky with a 90 degree dog leg to start your round. Not exactly the best way to encourage a brisk pace of play with trouble right, left, and long. My smallest complaint is with the lack of drinking water on the course. Bottled water is available for the low, low price of $5 for 20oz bottle. This was on a 95 degree day. My biggest complaint is with the cart GPS system. For the second year in a row,…

This was perhaps one of the best kept secrets in all of national golf reporting. Crooked tree golf course combines everything you like about good golf courses. Really good greens really good fairways manageable, rough nice difficulty great opportunity…

Such a beautiful course. The last 4 holes you get a glimpse of the Lake. Hole 16 is incredible. A very fun, challenging course with immaculate fairways and greens. Very comfortable golf cart and we loved the technology inside! We played the twilight round which was worth every penny. Really appreciate the staff letting us out early to play as a two-some instead of being paired with another cart (like we were scheduled to). Overall, fantastic experience and would love to play again!

What an absolute treat this course is. The back nine offers stunning views and the entire course is in pristine condition. This is a can’t miss course if you’re up in the petoskey area.

Final course on our July Michigan golf trip. Couldn't have picked a better finishing course. Course in excellent shape. Greens rolled great. Nice elevation changes and several challenging doglegs. Really enjoyed this course. Do not overlook it. Highly recommend

Very Nice course but pricy. Compared to similar courses about 30% high. Played during the week with wife $144 each or $288 through Boyne resort. Should have been less during the week. Liked the course however will not return at that price.

DO NOT sleep on Crooked Tree. On a recommendation from a local golfer I met at Arthur Hills, I booked an early tee time here. I was told not to expect the grand vistas that other Boyne courses offer, but to give this course a fair chance. Wow, this is great golfer's course. I pulled up at 7am and was met by a pro helping his staff unload golf bags for guests. This set the tone for my experience. A convenient putting green and range is immediately adjacent to the pro shop, and so are the carts. Warm up, then off you go across the street to start your round. You'll cross the narrow street, pass…

Very nice course. A bit pricy but you get what you pay for. A couple of tee shots on the back 9 are blind but try to stay left and you should be OK.
