In summary

De Funiak Springs Country Club is appreciated for its challenging course layout, friendly staff, and good food offerings, making it a worthwhile destination for golfers in the area. Many visitors enjoy the overall atmosphere and value, although some have noted issues with the greens' condition, slow pace of play, and occasional management hiccups. The facilities, including the pool and bathrooms, could benefit from some maintenance and improvements.

It certainly is the best value for golf in Walton and Bay Counties. I found the layout to be very fair with chances to challenge skill and confidence throughout. Water comes into play on numerous holes. There were many elevated greens which encourage approach shot making. Greens were of fair size with modest contour. Local knowledge and prior experience helps in knowing the layout from hole to hole, meaning there wasn't much signage to get to several holes. This could be a modest expense to make the golf experience more enjoyable. The practice areas were adequate but the driving range uses red…

This is a decent course ruined by terrible management. We called on a Sunday to ask about a tee time. Told them we were driving from over an hour away. Got a tee time for 1:10. I specifically mentioned to the lady that we would be pushing it to get 18 in before dark which is about 5:10 right now but we decided to try it. We get there and the course is packed. No big deal. It is what it is. But then we met the 2 ladies running the pro shop. They had a sign up that said all carts must be back in by 4:30 or they would charge us an extra $25 per person. When I asked about it, they said it was bc t…

Someone told us about this place and to try the fish sandwich! Lol So we had to try! Staff was so kind and attentive and the place was really really clean! I would say 5 stars to service for sure. Looks like a fun place for the locals after a game of golf. So We got the Blackened fish sandwich, Caesar salad and Cheeseburger w/ fries. Fish sandwich was very good. Cheeseburger was ok, tasted funny to me. Fries were good as well as the salad. Sandwiches would have been better if the buns had been warmed. Ive never been a fan of cold buns. Will definitely go back ! Will try the bar next time. :)

Great layout. Most greens are not in great shape as of March 2026. Fairways are pretty thin too. All in all good time playing here.

Very happy to have access to a pool in the area! Super friendly staff in the clubhouse (which has a good lunch menu and great prices). However the facilities around the pool need some repair, like the bathrooms and some of the chairs, as well as more regular tidying/cleaning. With some TLC it could be a go-to spot!

I’ll give it a 3 since the course layout is nice and fairways were in decent shape. The slight elevation changes are a nice change of pace and not quite as dramatic as Blackstone. However, the greens roll like a thick shag carpet. Slowest greens I have ever played on so that put a damper on the overall experience.

Friendly staff and nice facility. Worth the drive and the price. However , when I played , the course still had work to do on the back nine on a couple of holes.

This was not a good golf course. The green was filled with sand and lal the buildings seemed disheveled. It was cheap golf. So if you are looking for a cheap quick game then this is the place for you. But if you are looking for any kind of quality then dont come here. The bathrooms were the worst part. No toilet paper and holes in the walls. Just messy all around. But it was cheap golf. 20 bucks for 18 holes and a cart. Not the worst but it was rough.

The food was awesome. We had the breakfast of champions with an extra biscuit and gravy and the eggs Florentine with an extra side of bacon. The atmosphere was all that a small golf course should be. It was clean and serene. It was an easy relaxed atmosphere with just the right level of everything. They had 4 and 6-seat tables. The service was quick, correct, and friendly.

This course is very nice. I'm a scratch golfer and this course was very challenging. Small greens with undulations make a tough test. Well worth the price

Meh to the negative reviews. I had an amazing experience and the course was in phenomenal shape for late November. The staff were also friendly and the food was good for after the round.
