In summary

Blackstone Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic setting, and friendly staff, with the greens often highlighted as being in excellent condition. However, several visitors have expressed concerns about the fairways and tee boxes, noting significant maintenance issues and uneven conditions. While the course offers good value and potential under new management, some golfers recommend improvements to the overall course condition.

What a beautiful golf course and truly a pleasure to play on. From the beautiful fairways to the immaculate greens, I was very pleased with the experience. The staff were very friendly and I was made to feel welcomed and valued as a customer.

The scenery is very nice, the clubhouse is very new. The last positive is that you can find your balls very easily in the woods there is no brush. Outside of that the course was awful there was more sand then grass!! There is no fairway the grass is the same height on every part of the course. Parts of the fairways look like the Grand Canyon with enormous holes(see pictures). The cartpaths also were in a terrible shape. Save your money and pay a little more to play at a nicer course.

I cannot make a super fair review due to the heavy amount of rain before I played and the course had the inability to mow anything besides the greens. But the course is fun and you can tell is normally a really nice course, and not too expensive either. Additionally, the layout is fun and very hilly and the fairways are lined with trees. But, the trees off the edge of the fairway are loose enough that you can usually find your ball if you venture of path and have a reasonable shot back out to the fairway or even the green,

I had played this course before and it is beautiful so I recommended to an out of friend town. When he came into town we booked a teetime on Tuesday the 25th for Black Friday (see screenshot) and after calling To confirm we thought we were all set. We drive an hour out here and they don’t have us on the schedule and are unwilling to work with us for an early teetime

Challenging course and the staff is always 10/10–Majority of the people complaining about a few fairways aren’t hitting them anyways (myself included). Overall, solid choice for a round of golf, and greens stay nicer than other public courses I’ve seen at the same price.

I played there on 1/16/25, & pace on the course was good that day. Not too crowded, & a twosome allowed me to play through early. I have played there numerous times. The course is difficult & very hilly with steep slopes & many trees. I found a lot of balls at the course, & Blackstone has many usable ball cleaners at tee boxes on the course, which is good. The course was in poor condition & very sandy. Greens on the course were very good, though, & the practice putting green was large & good with some holes, not just posts. No practice bunker, though. The driving range was long with na…

Let me preface by saying the staff was super kind. They would get 5 stars. That being said, this course probably needs to be shut down until they can get it repaired. It’s in really, really bad shape. Every green has no less than 30% damage (dead areas). The fairways aren’t any better. I’m completely baffled that it is rated 4 stars on GolfNow.

This course used to be my favorite course in the region. So much so that i would drive 1:15 from Panama City to play it. Sadly, the once beautiful course has fallen into disrepair. Fairways are terrible, mostly filled with sand potholes or dirt. The greens for the most part are unplayable, almost all of them are dirt with no grass to putt on. The course management should be giving people a heads up on their website before they go spend their hard earned money. Very disappointing to say the least, I wont be back.

This is one of my favorite local courses to play. The fairways greens are always in great shape. It definitely is challenging, but not so much that it’s not fun. There is definitely risk/reward in play. With practically every fairway there is a landing option that will make the approach easier. If you miss it, however, saving par or even bogey will be tough. Most definitely worth the trip to the north end of the county! Holes 1 and 10 are rather straightforward and great confidence builders. 18 is a long and scenic finishing hole that rewards a well placed drive - birdie is possible, but defin…

Excellent value and very challenging. Interesting elevation changes. Consider playing one tee box up. Greens were in excellent condition. Fairway and tee box conditioning were very poor however. Lots of erosion and uneven rutted sandy fairways. Worth a try given the price and challenge!

STEER CLEAR... virtually unplayable in so many ways. Honestly. Fairways are in abhorrent shape, and greens not much better. Two water coolers on the entire course, zero cups, and no drink cart to compensate. Staff and clubhouse very nice. The positive reviews must be from associates of the course. The one star is for the staff, and only because less isn't an option.

I was looking for a course to play outside of the Destin area as all of those courses are much more expensive and very difficult to get on. The reviews I read about Blackstone made me a little hesitant to drive that far from Destin and have a bad experience. I found that most of the reviews I read, said the greens were good but the fairways were very poor, a lot of elevation changes, but the fairways, tees and overall conditions were not very good. I find that if the fairway or rough conditions are marginal, I will just adjust my ball due to those playing conditions. The most important factor…
