In summary

Desert Hills Golf Course in Yuma is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a standout municipal course. Visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing and quality amenities, including a top-notch clubhouse restaurant. However, some golfers have experienced slow pace of play and occasional issues with course marshals, which detracted from their overall experience.

Hands down, this is the best golf course in town. They offer the best rates, have the best greens and fairways, and their tee boxes are always cut and maintained. This is not your average municipal course. Their team consistently keeps the course ready for both casual play and tournament level conditions.

Nice public golf course in the heart of Yuma. Very reasonable greens fees for a weekend round in peak winter season. The course is also a bit challenging with lots of hills, and undulating greens. But the pace of play was very good; the Marshall actively monitors the players to ensure they’re moving along well. The clubhouse restaurant is top notch too. I’d definitely play again the next time I’m in town.

Excellent municipal style golf course in superb condition. Fun layout and track. Excellent staff who were very accomdating. I collect the metal small ball markers from every course I travel too, and at first they said they didn't have anymore and another staffer, possible head pro or manager came out and said he had a few left and gave it to me for free.😁👍🙌 Hole number 15 was a Big Boi 253 yard par 3!!! Alot of endulation throughout the course. Will visit again as this was a super fun track!!!

We love our beautiful home course. Casual rounds, tournaments and community events are all run with excellence! Most importantly this is a family friendly course that intentionally invests in the next generation.

Great course...some challenges and in good condition. Greens are a little slow for my liking, but I'm from San Diego, so take that for what it is. Played a different course the day before and greens were slow there too, so I'm assuming it is the area? Would definitely play this course again!

The best golf course in yuma AZ this year. Allot of the guys I play with think it's too long but I personally like the challenge.

A nice course in the middle of a residential area. Would have gotten a 5 star if not for the dogs barking in every backyard and the goose poop. Also, not discount for walking. Overall was close to worth the $20 to walk the 9, but should be more like $12-15 since course is just not that great. Nice neighborhood place though if you love in the neighborhood and like the convenience. Lastly, the water hazards are bountiful. Makes for great scenery though and the waterfowl were amazing to behold!

If you’re an amateur like I am, you can expect challenging but fun round of golf at Desert Hills! As someone who isn’t consistent off the tee yet, the very long par 4’s and 5’s (300-600 yards) were tough. However, as others have noted, the wide fairways do help out to get you up and down without embarrassing yourself too much.. Desert Hills is well maintained with friendly staff and the prices are fair for a public course. This is a property the City of Yuma can be proud of. Oh, one more piece of advice: don’t be cheap like me and spend the extra $9 for a cart. You’ll walk a marathon over 18 h…

I played this course yesterday and have played it a lot this season. I find the course is in probably the best condition I have seen it in the last 12 years o playing it. The staff has always been very friendly. The reason I can not give it 5 stars is for two reasons. The first one is that 3 times in the last month we have come off of number 9 green to start on number ten only to have one or two groups put out in front of us and twice when number one had not one group waiting to hit not a good thing when you have to wait after finishing 9 then have a 20 minute to half hour wait until you hit a…
