In summary

Ironwood Public Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained greens and fairways, friendly staff, and challenging layout that appeals to both beginners and seasoned golfers. The course offers a relaxed atmosphere and is considered a good value for its price. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with certain staff members and noted issues with course maintenance and amenities, such as locked bathrooms and the presence of rocks and dead grass.

I was driving by Yuma and decided to stop and get a quick round in. The course was in great shape. Tee boxes were clean and level. The fairways and rough were cut nicely. Greens were in great shape and though they were rolling slow it was only because they had just opened back up from reseeding the course. I’m sure in a week or two they’ll be rolling best. It’s a nine hole course with a mix of narrow and wide fairways. It features one hole with a water hazard and despite there being no bunkers it was a fun course overall. Almost every green has some nice angles and elevation variations to keep…

Its a great course, especially if your getting started. People are great. The speed is perfect and it gets tricky trying to get over the pond. I enjoy this course.

Randy “papa” Salceido what do you expect for $10. The back bathroom is remodeled and that is what you get when people damage bathrooms. The guy with the bike oversees golfers at the end of the day he is like our security. Allows people to golf after 5 pm

Loads of rocks and dead grass. Good luck pushing a tee into the DIRT. The bathrooms are always locked. But theres an old out house at the 4th green. The worst is the guy on the bike that will push you out at 6pm to close. He is also great at playing through, flighting multiple balls over your head at holes he's not playing, and just being rude to the paying golfers. Other courses close at sunset but still allow you to finish. Bad course, even for the money. 🤨

2024-Nov-Update: Wow! Much improved greens and fairways from winter 2023. Still a 4 star review. This is a great little 9 hole course. Interesting. For me, challenging greens. Not quite as good condythis year, probably due to a lack of income last year because of COVID restrictions.

Great course! To bad a few bad eggs ruin it for others! There are a few people upset because they try to golf for free but there is no golf course you can play for free or pay when your finished! The owner has every right to protect his property and business. Times are tough enough and golfing there is so cheap! It is not fair to our regular golfers that pay to have dishonorable golfers on the course. It cost for seed, fertilizer, Greenskeeper, water, electric and taxes to keep that course going.

The golf course was challenging and in very good condition. It’s a must stop if you ever find yourself in the area and need to get out of the car because your vision and taste has been compromised by cigar smoke. Make sure to invite your friends for a fun time!

Course is in pretty good condition, geens are a little long and could use a mowing. Fairly slow aswell. Overall very pleasant experience. Would definitely play here again

Small local course. Narrow fairways, play by locals. Carts only by reservation, winter season. Level fairways great for walking carts. Greatly improved and maintained in recent times

People that work there are hard working and very nice people. The course id very reasonable and a great course. It's challenging and in pretty good shape. I love golfing there because I never hit the same shot and it's fun 🙃☺

Very rude!! Grounds keeper was hostile and aggressive. He carried handgun inside his little white truck! We pay at the end of the round bc the loser pays at the end but grounds keeper didn’t bother to ask and instead threatened and harassed me and my golfing buddies. We play and pay there weekly but will never go again!
