In summary

Diamond in the Ruff Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained 9-hole course, beautiful setting, and friendly, accommodating staff. The resort's cottages are noted for being spacious and well-equipped, contributing to a pleasant vacation experience. However, some visitors find the golf course fees relatively high for nine holes, and there are occasional concerns about minor maintenance issues, such as sand traps and tee boxes.

Played this course last week and the condition was in my opinion good. Sand traps were in need of some attention and also some of the tee decks we struggled due to lack of size light levels being low and lack of air movement. Greens were in excellent shape and rolled very true. I paid for my wife daughter her boyfriend and myself with a cart for nine holes and total was $395 for all four. Im my opinion overpriced for nine holes.

Heard lots of good things but wasn't that impressed. No power carts. No mention of needing to reserve them upon booking. Conditions were pretty good.

Beautiful vacation spot. Cottages are big, clean and have beautiful views. Quiet location, So close to the beach. 5 star +++++ Would definitely recommend going there. Food is also very good. Large portions, quick service and good food. I would book your stay as soon as possible to secure your cottage and vacation spot. Love it there!

We played this 9 hole course with a group of 12 golfers and all were very impressed with the course. Conditions were great and staff even better. Our experience was unfortunately ruined by an extremely rude single golfer who hit into our group, turned out to be one of the owners. Will not be returning or recommending.

From the moment we came to the golf course it was one great experience after the other from the staff. They were all welcoming, happy, helpful and knowledgeable! The golf course was a great and challenging play and kept up immaculately. The clubhouse washrooms and dining area was spotless and clean! Will be back! Special shoutout to the young man at the start who helped us load up and gave us some great pointers! Hope Micheal is there next time to welcome us! Cheers

The golf course is a really good test for all golfers or just a fun place to play 9 holes. Extremely well kept and the staff is outstanding. After a round the restaurant has a very good selection and an option to sit inside or out. The only concern I have is that the cost is a bit higher than I would expect it to be. Especially for the owners /renters that reside just across the road. Hope to get in a few more rounds before the snow flys.

What an experience! The girls and I had a wonderful weekend here. The staff welcomed us and kept a bonfire going at the main cottage all weekend. They served hot chocolate at the group bonfire and were so friendly and informative. The accommodations were beautiful and location was prime. The only thing that could have been better was if the cutting knives in the kitchen were sharpened and that the can opener worked. Other than those tiny details, we can't wait to come back again. Thank you for the amazing memories, Cottages at Diamond!

I would recommend this course even though it is only 9 holes. It is very well maintained and provides some challenges. We took carts but is easily walkable with some hills. Price was high average but they gave a discount for a second 9. I golf a lot my wife golfs once a week and we both enjoyed it. I only wish they had some more details of the holes layout on the card or at the tee box. Staff very customer oriented.

We have a local cottage, we can only speak to Golf and food service (never stayed at the resort), both are very good, Golf is expensive for only 9 holes, but very well maintained. The food and service are also very good. We have had a number of occasions of large groups (12 or more), and the food and service has been excellent. Keep up the good work.

We spent a family long weekend at Diamond in the Ruff. We loved the cottage, lots of room for everyone and the great room was big enough for everyone to gather together. The outdoor areas (the lawns, the beach, the trails, the golf course) are all wonderful. We really enjoyed our time here and recommend Diamond to those looking for a great family vacation sport!!

As first time cottage-goers our group of 4 adults plus an infant were quite pleased with our stay! We purchased the travelzoo offer for check in on a Sunday for 2 nights. Communication by email and phone with the reservation staff was easy, quick response time. The cottage was spacious, laid out well and had all the creature comforts we needed, including satellite TV. The community fire pit was quaint and the welcome centre provided us sticks for roasting marshmallows and cups of hot chocolate. Because there was no snow we didn't get to take advantage of snowshoeing, which the resort also prov…

Played the short 9-hole course there. Have played there many times. It's a perfect, beautiful little 9-hole course. Usually very well kept. Solid patio for drinks and decent bar food. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice easy short nine while they're up in cottage country.
