Dogwood Trace Golf Course

Fantastic public course... well kept and very welcoming. The teaching professional was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food at the grill was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Fun course to play. Front nine relative easy with back nine longer and more difficult. Lots of pitch marks on greens where players not fixing marks. Our group fixed ours and several others on each green. Decent course for price.

Good maintenance. Great staff. Basic layout, don't have to work the ball much. Greens were very good. Only about 3 of them have real undulation. Front side 2 hours, back side 2:45. No idea why back was so much worse. Great staff. Across street from.high and middle school so I heard the class change bell a couple of times. For the hot deal.price I paid very pleased.

Someone from Dogwood Trace Golf Course has repeatedly cold-called me trying to sell advertising space. I’ve requested to be placed on the Do Not Call list multiple times and the caller hangs up every time. I need written confirmation that my number has been removed and I will not receive further calls or I will file a complaint with the BBB Better Business Bureau.

Used to play Lee Park a good bit back in the middle 70s. Sure would like to play the new course but it’s a long drive from Cheraw South Carolina.😁

Started my golf life here and it will be a staple as long as I live in the area. Service is always great and the course is always in decent shape for the traffic it see’s and the time of year. A moved tee box every now and then to help the grass is not a huge deal to me. It’s a fantastic local escape that I enjoy with workmates regularly. I give 5 because I discovered the game at this place and don’t care how “perfect” a green is. Even got my wife looking foward to her next time.

Price too high $65not from this area but this is too much for this course have water coolers but no cups ask a guy he had cups right on him said no cups he said had to bring your own bottle wouldn’t give me a cup Will not be back too slow no ranger that I seen

Nice course and very long! The fairways are nice and wide so it’s forgiving if you slice it! For a public course it’s in good shape. The staff is very friendly and the food is fantastic. Definitely worth the drive from Richmond!

My son and I played this past Sunday and the course is beautiful and fun to play. My issue is there has to be a Marshall to maintain play. We had a group of 6 teenagers in front of us that wouldn’t allow play through and in front of of them was a group of four including wife and kids that wouldn’t lose a ball for nothing and was my worst experience there ever, especially on a weekend. There is no control on the course what so ever and complete chaos. Not to mention the elderly man at the cart return is about the most unpleasant person you will meet. Please fix this mess. Complete waste of time…

I enjoy the course, but it's gotten much more expensive to play than it used to be. The course is in good shape, i have always enjoyed the layout. I've been playing there since 2011. Unfortunately, the price doesn't reflect the course anymore. I will continue to play there, just in a reduced capacity than what i used to.

Driving to Pinehurst and found a gem in Petersburg VA! Dogwood Trace is a pleasure to play. Very nice layout. Strategic bunkering and undulating greens made this a nice challenge but not punishing. Greens were in nice condition and rolled fast and true. Bonus - the staff in the pro shop and around the facility were very helpful. Highly recommend.
