In summary

Gambler Ridge Golf Club has received praise for its friendly and accommodating staff, well-maintained fairways and greens, and improvements under new ownership. The course layout is appreciated for being both challenging and accessible to various skill levels, with reasonable green fees. However, some visitors have noted issues with the rough areas and occasional slow pace of play, and there are mixed opinions regarding the condition of the bar and restaurant facilities.

I had a tee time at 2:30pm on Saturday. I went inside to check in and the guy was very nice and helpful. However, the course ranger was annoying and confrontational for no reason. Why is he pairing up groups that were booked 30 minutes apart? There’s no one on the course anyway. Instead of enhancing the experience, he seemed more interested in hassling groups and creating tension. It put a damper on what should have been a relaxing day of golf. Also, I thought there were new owners and they were fixing this place up. The place is still a dog track but with a few less trees. I thought I was at…

Been watching this place on social media and finally got out here to play. Course was aerated recently but the greens still rolled well. The course is well laid out and well maintained. The pro shop and starters were friendly and helpful and Amanda in the bar and grill was helpful as well. It’s a course definitely worth putting on your itinerary for this summer. Welcome back, Gambler Ridge, you really have something here.

Haven't played golf in a number of years and Gamblers Ridge provided the perfect venue to get back into the game. Challenging but fair and offers various tee boxes for every skill level of the golfer!? Also reasonable green fees.

Played Gambler Ridge on 5/7. This course is shaping up nicely. Fairways and greens are in very nice shape. The new owners are investing in this course and you can see the improvements plus it takes time to turn a course around. The staff was very friendly and after we were done playing we stopped in the restaurant right there at the golf course and had a few beers and a very tasty burger. For sure we will return.

Very nice people in the proshop. The carts work fine but they're old, no USB port. Must have very good mechanics working there. The course is in pretty good shape and not difficult or challenging really. Typical for the flat landscapes of New Jersey. Price is a bit high but not outrageous. Good place to improve your stats. Outstanding course for your buck! Staff, pace of play and grounds were excellent. A little later in the spring, I can only imagine how nice the greens will be. Highly recommend for central NJ. Will def be back, sooner than later!

I played here a few years ago and wasn’t impressed. I returned yesterday and noticed a big improvement. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, greens - all in great shape. We had a (very) drunk foursome in front of us, and the ranger did his job well and stayed on them to keep up pace of play. Cart girl came around often for drinks as well. Will definitely be returning

It's a little over an hour from where I live in Palisades Park, but the golf course is great. Even in winter, the greens, fairways and bunkers are well-maintained, and the staff are all friendly. The green fees are reasonable as well. I highly recommend it.

Course is in the best condition I’ve ever seen it, the new owners and grounds keepers have done a fantastic job with the fairways and greens. Mike checked in a few times during the round, it was nice to have a friendly figure check in and drive around the course grabbing trash, you can tell how much he cares. Looking forward to many future rounds here

Nice place to learn, tee boxes need work, fairways are good and so are the greens. The rough is rough, more weeds than grass.. but I'd come again.

One of my favorite courses in central NJ. The new owners have done a great job with improvements and the course is in excellent shape. Thanks to Big Mike, Bobby, Woody, Susan, Liz, (the chef as well) for making this one of the friendliest, warmest environments. It's worth the trip every time!
