In summary

Hanover Golf Club receives praise for its well-maintained course conditions and challenging layout, with some players appreciating the mix of easy and difficult holes. The staff is generally seen as efficient, though some visitors have experienced less enthusiastic service. Common criticisms include a slow pace of play and management issues, such as strict cart return policies and occasional unprofessional interactions, which can detract from the overall experience. Pricing is viewed as somewhat high by some, but others find the value reasonable for the quality of the course.

Went on a Friday morning and asked if there was availability for nine. Dude behind the computer made no eye-contact and said "no, but I have a driving range 😂🤡. Course was dead too. It appears the management is disincentivizing going to this course. Probably due to other business (warehouse) opportunities. Search by lowest rating and the themes of management being unprofessional and overpriced are common.

Course is in great shape. I played in November, little to no leaves on the ground. Very well maintained course. The club house is nothing special. Pace of play was good, driving range is only 200 yards.

I thought the course was in good shape, however… the layout of course isn’t great. A lot of back and forth holes. Very small greens. Narrow fairways with very little room for error. I don’t mind a challenge but these narrow holes were almost as if the holes were squeezed in. It was a bit pricy to play as well. The new norm for courses to charge $100 a round has gotten out of hand.

Played here twice, both were painfully slow. First time was a holiday weekend, so that was understandable. Today, had an early tee time (~8:30) and was told off the bat course was already playing slow. After the couple I was paired with teed off early without me (I was also early), I was told by the Marshall to keep up pace of play as I was walking off the green, even though I was still earlier than my tee time and faster than the pace of play laid out by the course. After having to skip the couple on hole 2, because they spent nearly ten minutes on the green trying to putt, I ended up stuck…

This is my home course! Grew up around here all my life! Just wish it was a little cheaper all I wanna do is golf but golf prices are expensive nowadays! Sucks but love Hanover always!

Overall, the course is pretty fun. Most holes are relatively straight, but there is a surprising amount of elevation to the course, which makes it more challenging, and more fun, than you'd expect. The fairways are decent and the greens are all pretty small, but rolled well. My only real gripe is the pace of play. You'll see it in other reviews as well, but we had a group of 4 in front of us, plus a couple of their girlfriends, so it was really 6, but the gf's weren't playing every hole, it seemed. The group behind us seemed to be in a hurry since they hit up perilously close to us a few times…

Haven't played at Hanover in over 15 years. I live 20 minutes away and have avoided it because of the terrible conditions I witnessed years ago. Boy was I surprised. The course is in great shape from tee to green. Starters were organized and handled each foursome well. My cart died on hole two and a quick call to the clubhouse had my new cart out to me in less than 5 minutes. And, the price is great. For the fifth star, the rough has to be cut and the clover managed. It's much too deep and penal for a public, daily play course. I'll be back for sure. It's now a pleasure to play.

I have not played here before. I have played a lot of private golf and am a member of the TPC. Presently the conditions are very good. The greens are more like private greens than public. Absolutely no complaints. Rough is high, but what the heck, you need some adversity if you drive the ball there. Check in was fast and workers were fast, efficient and pleasant. Play was fast, no hold ups. Post round, 4 Rolling Rocks for $10.00. Are you kidding? This is well worth playing. Singles call in. Their online reservations do not accommodate singles. Going back next week for sure.

The manager said we we're notoriously slow, but no one was behind us. When explanation was given from the manager, he didn't want to hear no one was behind us. When asked how much time the average was, he said 4 hrs and 20 minutes for a round of golf....so we we're 15 minutes over without anyone behind us. It is so sad that one one was held up from golfing, but management criticized us, stopping at the turn to go the bathroom, buy a drink, and a hot dog. I'm never going back again. Btw...$69.00 for a Sunday play?!?!?!...I could do better at Springfield Golf!!!

Forgiving course. Definitely worth it. Back 9 is tougher, lots of elevation. The 18th hole is a monster.

Don’t golf here unless you wanna wait behind a group of old people and wait 20 minutes on every tee box they don’t understand how to schedule tee times
