Confusing, not intuitive golf course. Would best be served with a map on score cards, or available somewhere. Overall, there seems to be the need to improve course management by owners, members, and patrons in following, obeying rules, regulations. Common courtesy would be appreciated from people with their carts by staying on paths not fairways. Non-playing, inconsiderate people driving around on carts should be forbidden because they drive up stop, watch, pass on through. This place should be for members, golf players, and friends to have pleasant fun, but not for fishing. There should be a…

I know it's not the best course in the county and I have no complaints about the course, it has improved enough, and I have had a good time there. People have been nice to me.

Beautiful course, well maintained and not crowded at all. The back 9 has nice views and wide fairways.

To the Gatesville Golf Course Manager who replied to my previous post. Even if I saw on the website that a Club Fitting would take place, why didn't the person making the T-Time ensure We knew the range was closed? We were on the Front 9 until 12:00. Why were not informed the Front 9 would close at ANY TIME? What about the Over 16 Members all with their own cart? No one ever apologized to us. And there were several Members that are ignorant and obnoxious. FYI, the Board Member we met had to explain how to find the first hole. We have played at other courses and used the Driving Range, when a D…

Recently visited Gatesville Country Club for business and golf. Excellent lunch service was provided by Leah. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The course was maintained better than expected for a December day. This is a fun yet challenging course with medium speed greens. My colleagues have already asked about a return trip to your course. Thanks for making our brief stay enjoyable!

Overall: Horrible service, Poor grass and Poor greens! Go Elsewhere! Full: I've heard that this golf course had a bad reputation in the area and to play elsewhere. I should have listened! Tried playing it today and wish I didn't. Poor grass, poor greens and horrible service. Very snobby type people, especially at the bar in the club house. Not welcoming at all. It's not that hard to put a smile on your face and be happy. My business partner Brandon and I went golfing this morning to get away from the hustle-and-bustle of the business world since it's "Labor Day" and were treated with disresp…

The course played like a desert. Extremely rough shape. The staff was incredibly rude and snobby. Cheap course, poor staff and quite honestly just a shame of a place to spend your money. I'd rather spend a little bit more to actually enjoy myself. Perhaps I should've read the reviews before I went. Live ya learn. Gatesville Country Club in Central Texas proved to be what the reviews were. Extremely poor. The rude and unpleasant staff is what got me. I can handle a less than perfect golf course... However, I can't handle paying money to folks who don't deserve a dime. Business, like respect, s…

As a resident that lives nearby this golf course, the golfers are absolutely rude and do not ask politely if they lose their golf balls on private property. They instead choose to intrude into people's yards or destruct property such as fences. Complaints to the golf course fall to deaf ears and no action is taken against golfers who abuse their golfing privileges.

Course is kind of all over the place. Lack of signage directing you to several holes. Was there for an outing ad it was free. Not sure I'd go back and pay to play there.

Great place and atmosphere. Service is great and the course is fun. We are lucky to have a great place to play and relax right here in Gatesville!

This course doesn’t have fairways, very poorly marked tee boxes, and the course is very confusing to navigate. This place is extremely overpriced for a very subpar course. Will not visit again!!! 15 Aug 2020

New management is making strides. Staff and course are much better. Menu is increasing as well as quality in every area.
