In summary

Twin Rivers Golf Club, also known as Bear Ridge, is appreciated for its well-maintained fairways and greens, challenging layout with elevation changes, and friendly staff. Many golfers enjoy the course's aesthetics and the variety of tee options that cater to different skill levels. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the pricing, particularly during peak times, and issues with the golf cart GPS system. There have also been mixed reviews about the course's condition over time, though recent improvements have been noted.

Love this course!! The fairways and greens are well kept. Greens are FAST..beware the aggressive player. Wide fairways and challenging elevation changes. We play all over DFW and this one has out done 90% of where we have played. Cart girl was on point!!! Will be back!!

Nice staff, golf course condition is very nice with rolling fairways, many tree lined. The greens were also nice and very fair. The 15th hole is the only one I don’t understand, from blue tees it’s only a 7 or 8 of the tee or penalty area awaits your ball with more club. Overall, a pleasurable golf experience.

Seriously?!! $60 prepay for this course. In the middle of January. That is absolutely ridiculous. Course is ok. But nooooo where near worth that much for January. New owners obviously have no idea what they’re doing. Sad. Course is going to fall apart again. Update 1/6/23 - Now their prices are $75!! Seriously?! Come on guys. It’s no where near worth a $75 course, even if it was the middle of July. I tried calling Cottonwood. Booked up all day until 3pm. What does that tell you? Update 7/6/23 - Most greens are terrible. They’re half dirt as seen in pic. Roughs are still just weeds and dirt.…

I'm giving them a two because of their golf cart they are GPS restricted and only allow you in certain areas. .And then you were only able to back out with no forward drive. If I would have known that I would have much preferred to walk. The greens on the course are ridiculously fast. Decent course... mediocre

My son & I just finished a round at Bear Ridge & we had a blast! Staff is super friendly & accommodating,we played a 3.5 hr round, tee boxes , fairways , and greens in awesome condition! Challenging but fair with like 5 different tee boxes to suite all players. I live in Denton, he lives in Round Rock and we will be meeting here as much as possible! I am a fan!

My daughter played a high school tournament there. The greens were in great shape.

Paid $75 for a weekend tee time at a course that is worth $35 at best. All of the tee boxes were not mown and I even had to hit off a mat on one of them. The greens were very bumpy and filled with weeds. If you are charging that much for a round of golf, there are certain standards you’d expect. None of those were met here. I wouldn’t recommend this course or be back.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at my local golf club. I brought my brother-in-law, who is active duty military, to play over Memorial Day weekend—a time meant to honor those who have served. When I asked about a military discount, I was told yes, only to be charged full price. When I questioned it, a man from a nearby office—who turned out to be the superintendent—shook his head “no,” signaling not to honor the discount. That’s when the staff member clarified they don’t offer it on weekends. Really? On Memorial Day weekend? My brother-in-law had driven from Maryland to visit, a…

Courses open to the public in the Waco area are very limited, and I had not tried this course since moving to Waco 4 years ago because of the aggregate rating. I finally booked a tee time and played this morning. The layout of this course is quite fun, and can be challenging if you choose, given the multiple sets of tees. Considering we've had 2 years straight of drought conditions, the course was not in as bad as shape as I was anticipating. The condition of the greens were fine, maybe because of the few days of rain we had last week. I am looking forward to coming back and playing, and looki…
