Playing a round at The Greenbrier Golf Club was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The course itself is beautifully maintained, with scenic views and a layout that’s both challenging and enjoyable for all skill levels. The backdrop of the West Virginia mountains adds a peaceful, majestic feel that enhances every swing. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making the day even more enjoyable. From the pro shop to the starters and course attendants, everyone made me feel right at home. After our round, we grabbed a bite at Sam Snead’s at the clubhouse—and I have to s…

The Old White course at the Greenbrier Resort is one of the greatest publicly accessible golf courses in the United States. It was an honor to have played a course with this level of prestige and the staff made it the most memorable experience I’ve ever had playing golf. The course has hosted some of the games greatest players including Sam Snead, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson to name a few. My groups forecaddie Sean was extremely professional and displayed phenomenal knowledge of the course and made the round a lot of fun. This course is quite pricey but is definitely worth the high greens…

What a unique experience! Highly recommend the Bunker tour. My husband and I spent a whole day just touring the property. Would also recommend eating at Drapers, the food and service was excellent.

Great golf experience. Played both courses - The Meadows and The Old White. Meadows is far friendlier to the average golfer. Not to say it's easy, but the greens have less slope, rough is not too deep, etc. The Old White was in process of preparation for the Greenbrier Classic PGA tournament, so the rough was deep and hard to play from. The greens have a lot of slope, breaks and size. Definitely tricky. However the course was fair, good shots rewarded, bad shots hurt you. The Old White requires caddies, either carrying your bag or walking with the group as forecaddies. We used the later, and t…

Great service and hospitality. Everything was smooth from checking in to the actual round the next day. Golf course was in outstanding condition for any level of play. We loved the atmosphere and the great food. Don't forget the tie for dinner!!

Course was in great shape! A word to the wise though. Bring bug spray, they are bad. Course demands keeping shots in the fairway because the rough will punish you.

Staying at the Greenbrier was awful. Our room was not clean, the coverlet on the bed was torn, the air conditioning was so loud. I couldn’t hear my husband speak and the manager said “this an historic Hotel.” I’ve stayed in places all over the world that are much older than the Greenbriar, but have been kept up beautifully by the hotels. Historic does not equal dirty. We had deposited almost three thousand dollars and when we checked out they would not refund the balance on our credit card. We were unaware until further examination of their website that there would be no refunds that they woul…

They are struggling from a service perspective. The place was less than half full but only 2 servers so there was a +30 minute wait and confusion around the order

Amazing! My parents have stayed at Greenbriar many times over the last 30 years and have told me stories of it's grandeur. This was my first time to visit and it was all they said and more! Besides the incredible golf courses there is so much to do. There's something for everyone. To understand the history of the hotel you have to take the Bunker tour. Every guest room is unique and impeccable. The service is 5 star. Definitely visit the concierge to get the all the information on activities.
