Goat Hill Park

Played course on 13 February 2026. This course is actually a hidden gem. One of the best executive courses I have ever played. Never knew about it and I drive past it every day to work. Course has a full size range with trackman technology. Nice area for chipping and putting as well. As for the course, almost every hole has elevation challenges. Some hole require shot shaping. The bunkers are well maintained, greens are cute nicely and roll pure, fairways pretty well taken care of with minor blemishes. The only reason I don't give this course 5 stars is due to the tee boxes. Ran into a few mud…

Played a morning round here and had a blast. Was visiting from out of town and already can’t wait to come back to play here. Fun course to walk.

A really laid back and fun course. It’s quite challenging with lots of hills and valleys. Some holes have almost not fairway and the longer holes have hazards forcing you to play short. The carts, fairways, and greens are all in great shape. The overall vibe is very laid back and working class. The clubhouse was nice and very friendly. The only issue I had was someone didn’t clean up after their dog on one of the fringes of the green. This feels like a pillar of the community. Somewhere for people to get outside and have some fun together.

A great laid back golf experience that represents everything great about the game. A more challenging course than you might think, and a hell of a walk if that’s your style like me. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff make this spot an A+.

Goat Hill Park Golf Course is a fantastic place to play, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced golfer. The course has a laid-back, welcoming vibe with great views and a fun layout that keeps things interesting. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it’s a great spot to enjoy a round without the pressure of a traditional country club feel. Definitely a must-play for anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable golf experience.

When I picked up golf during covid, I started going to this course almost 3x a week. It is a short course, and has drastically improved in its offerings and layout over the last few years. Don't think because it's short, it's easy. This place makes you be accurate, decide tough decisions on how you approach each hole. I dedicate this course to make me improve and really focus on honing in my skills vs just hitting a ball as hard as I can (to the right mostly). Go and enjoy.

Great course design and conditions but got hassled by intense groups and course marshall while finishing a Saturday round in 3 hours and 8 minutes. (Record time) Based on this experience I would not recommend any beginner/intermediate players play here or else the intense locals will give you a hard time.

One star less just because it only had one par 5 and the rest were mostly 3’s. Up, down, ravine, short, narrow, all of the above short game necessary and good greens. Undulation on a major scale. Also very narrow. A few holes were really on top of each other. Not sure about the ocean views but the weather was fantastic.

I took the opportunity to play disc golf here as I've seen it on the pro tour and it's an iconic course. Also a bit notorious because it requires a very strong arm. It was a nice course and enjoyable but I won't return. There's not much thought given to disc golf in the day to day operation, most notably the signs are old and unreadable, and it's hard to find tee pads (you're lucky if it's not almost completely worn out). Regular golfers are nice and generally understanding but it's going to be a very very long round unless you jump around or get a string of nice groups that wave you through.

Man, what a refreshing golf experience. I booked earlier in the week and got the first tee time 5:50am. Figured I’d be paired with 3 others but ended up being just me (which honestly I prefer unless it’s people I know). The course played great, greens were pristine, holes were challenging and creative. Pace was great because there was nobody but the grounds keeping staff in front of me. Goat Hill has great vibes, very trendy and seems like a cool place to have a beer after a twilight round….which will be in my near future I’m sure. Would highly recommend this short, challenging course!

First public golf course in Oceanside. Definitely feels like old California nostalgia. Indie, hipster vibe. Now owned by Link Soul. Very pet friendly. The most unusual aspect is that there is Frisbee golf going on the course simultaneously. The course plays VERY tight. Leave your slice at home. Tons of elevation changes. Walking it is not for the faint of heart.

Great place to practice putting, and some chipping, with a nice view. I have played the course years ago, but I just come by mostly for a peaceful bit of practice. Have a picnic! See some local wildlife. There is a nice driving range too⛳🏌️‍♂️
