In summary

Grand Summit Golf & Country Club is recognized for its challenging course layout, which some find appealing. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with fairways, greens, and cart paths. Additionally, there are frequent mentions of unprofessional staff behavior and slow pace of play, which detract from the overall experience.

As others have said this is a very challenging course but I think it’s prime was 25 years ago. Carts are old & course is poorly maintained. If you have $10 million to invest it could be a good opportunity to make a championship level course.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The course was in terrible condition — patchy fairways, rock-hard greens, and bunkers that looked like construction sites. Pace of play was painfully slow, with no marshals in sight. Staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than helping guests. For the price they charge, I expected at least some level of maintenance and professionalism. Easily one of the worst golf experiences I’ve had.

Oh wow. Played here today for the first time and will definitely not be coming back. Half of the holes on the course feel like they were designed by a 10 year old with incredibly slanted and almost unfairly small fairways, trees hanging over tee shots, and dangerous cart paths. The first cart I used only survived 9 holes before the oil light came on, which was then replaced by a new cart quickly on #10. If you hit it into the pictured bunker on #17, you deserve a drop and 10 strokes off your score. Don't even get me started on hole 4. There is a slight bit of charm and potential in the course…

I was really looking forward to playing at this course, but unfortunately, the experience was tainted by the behavior of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were met with unprofessional and unfriendly attitudes. The front desk staff acted like we were an inconvenience, barely acknowledged us, and gave short, dismissive responses to basic questions. Out on the course, the marshals were overly aggressive and seemed more interested in policing players than helping them. We were rushed despite being well within pace of play, and when we tried to clarify, the staff responded rudely and unhelp…

Terrible course! Bunkers are a mess. Unsure who works the kitchen, but she seemed so unhappy when our group walked in for some waters and snacks. Geez!

This is the worst course in Kansas. They have children running the pro shop all day, no starters at hole #1, nobody is competent enough to run this golf course smoothly & correctly. The fairways are dirt, rock solid and so bumpy it will knock you out of the cart. You walk in to this course and nobody greets you for about 5-10 min, the bartenders sit in the back and make you wait 5-10 min before they even walk out of the back office. The first 9 holes of this course took us 3.5 hours to play due to them allowing 4 groups to tee off at basically the same exact time. By the time we arrived to hol…

My first time going to a golf course. My cousin invited me as a guest and I wasn't disappointed. It had exactly what I was looking for and very well maintained. Will be coming back!

This course seems to have seen its better days. Compared to other courses I have played in the KC metro, this one is in rough shape, in my opinion. Beyond the course itself, the cart paths are really bad. We watched some golfers lose control and tip when attempting to stop on a poorly angled section of the path. While the path was wet, it probably didn't help that the carts tires were bald. Speaking of carts, they are long past needing to be replaced. While my friends and I had a good time, as we could almost anywhere, I would not be able to recommend this course.

It would be a fun course, but the fairways weren't irrigated. It was like hitting off the parking lot. The guy in the clubhouse and woman in the bar were both crabby as hell. We played as a fivesome on the front in 1:45. He yelled at us at the turn so we split into a twosome and threesome and took 2:45 to play the back. No worries for the pace of play, just the number in the group. I got a hot dog at the turn and was thrilled to watch her use her hands, no gloves. The place is a crap hole.

What a mess!!!! The course waS OK but the teenagers working outside so rude!!!!!!!! I saw a lot of golf balls sitting there in a basket NOT BEING USED, and they said i“couldn’t use them”, and they kicked me out of the cart area too! and the clubs that weren’t being used i had to pay to use them and there was no one complete set they had to combine different sets also i was refused a favor before i couldn’t borrow a cart for 5 minutes just to ride around and it was NOT busy im ashamed to live by such a buck wild low class establishment why am i going to support you with my money if you won’t su…

The worst maintained golf course I've ever played. I don't know how the can call themselves a Country Club. It's like they have absolutely no budget to maintain the course. Fairways are dead. There is no grass on the tee boxes. Weeds everywhere. I believe this course only survives on the $35 Golfnow deals and none of that money goes back into the course.

Good deal for golf. Ignore the rough cart paths and brick tee box markers🤣then it’s a pretty nice course. In all fairness, they run the place no frills, which is fine but it has more potential. Someway it has to maintained better. Nets are ripping by the driving range (balls on the fairway #16 and #18), pothole directly in front of the club house on path, broken fences everywhere, very patchy/dry tee boxes. I had a broken, slow cart. How can this place look like this after only 20 years? Zero maintenance, if this establishment is going to last then someone better take ownership.
