In summary

Green Oaks Golf Club is appreciated for its affordability and friendly staff, making it a suitable choice for beginners or those looking for a budget-friendly round. However, many visitors note that the course conditions, particularly the greens, are in poor shape and could benefit from significant maintenance. Some also mention issues with course layout and the lack of tee times, while others have experienced unwelcoming interactions with the staff.

I’m rating it 3 stars because you get what you pay for. 26 bucks to ride 18 with no tee time on a Saturday is a fantastic deal. The people are kind and helpful, but this place is unfortunately in bad shape. It has the bones of a beautiful course, but needs some TLC. There is more dirt than grass on most of the greens. The greens with grass have patchy weeds that ruin putts. If you are getting into golf, and want to play a cheap round this is the place for you. If you can work out a gentleman’s agreement to compensate for the state of the greens with your party, it’s fine, and cheap for a week…

I play here quite frequently ,and it is a great value. only things I don't like is that tee boxes are not lined up to fairway, nor are they flat ,and bad grass. The men in the clubhouse are friendly with decent greens. All in all fun and good value.

This course is awful for the money. Here are a list of courses you can play cheaper in the area by booking through golf now - Red Bridge $15-$20, Emerald Lake $10-$20, Rocky River Golf Club $15-$25. These are all top notch courses ( Emerald Lake and Red Bridge are VERY nice for the price) and these prices include the cart. The staff at Green Oaks is rude. They think they offer great deals because they are comparing their prices to other courses listed price. The truth is if you're booking directly with the courses these days you're paying way too much. Book through Golf Now . . . Play a good c…

The course is a bit rough. Crabgrass and fire ants in the fairways. That said, there is no dress code. Tee times aren't available. Show up, pay your money and queue up at the first tee. The pricing is very bargain friendly - $27 on a Sunday and cheaper rates are available during the week. There are no bunkers. The greens are a work in progress after the crazy summer weather. If you want to work on your game fundamentals, it's a good no frills course to do so.

This place has always left a little too be desired, but it's cheap and we were in a hurry and we didn't need a tee time. Absolutely the worst golf course I have ever been on. Greens barely had any grass. Tee boxes were crappy and we're actually in the fairway not on the box. I'd rather played in the parking lot. Idk how this place is even still in business.

Twice now I have gone there to play and was turned away with plenty of time left in the day to easily finish. I don't know what Johns' problem is with letting people go out and work on their game, but I guarantee it won't happen again. There are too many courses in the area to waste my time going there and getting turned away. 5 men in the clubhouse playing cards and John stoking the fire to keep it nice in there for them and I can't get out. That's a real shame. I'm sure the owner Van would much rather hear how appreciative people are to be able to play than to hear even 1 person was turned a…

Sadly, Green Oaks has lost their greens. They're unplayable. The fairways are always bad, but with the unplayable greens, the entire golf experience is awful. The only reason they get one star is because the staff are so personable.

People were rude about my 8 year old playing at this course! Told them to play the back 9 because he didn't want them effecting and getting in the way of other players! Don't take your child here or play in big groups they don't want you getting in the way of the more important people! Rude as can be! Don't go to this course! Not worth any of the money!
