In summary

Rocky River Golf Club at Concord is frequently praised for its scenic and challenging course layout, with well-maintained greens and a variety of hole designs. The staff is often highlighted for their friendly and accommodating service, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted issues with pace of play, inconsistent course conditions, and limited amenities, such as food options and restroom facilities.

The course was packed with wait times at every tee box. Pace of play is defined by the group in front of you. The marshal repeatedly met our group of women as we came off off the green and told us to speed up, however we could not go any faster because of the group in the front of us. Instead of finding the first group at the beginning of the bottleneck and asking them to pick it up, we were somehow the targets. That's clear bias and discrimination, and unfortunately I now know the management supports this type of behavior, even though they know it's wrong. As a golf professional, this type of…

Course is challenging with nice long and short holes. Price was reasonable and overall course conditions were reasonable. Dry greens where you tapped the ball and it ran 30 feet… next green was well watered and under repair…putting over a 8 foot wide by 30 foot section of sod. Weird, challenging and not really a concern. Carts are decent. GPS that actually shuts off the cart should you inadvertently run into an unauthorized area. At times one could not convince the cart we were on hole 9 and not hole 7. Driving range was acceptable. Only negative is some tee boxes were like hitting out of a…

My favorite course since moving to the south in 2007. I haven’t had the opportunity to play here in years since moving from the area , so made the opportunity to play and wasn’t disappointed. The course and greens were in great shape. I booked online and got a check in message the morning of tee time. When I arrived, I was greeted by staff at the bag drop off for official check in so didn’t have to go into the clubhouse. The staff was very accommodating and paired me with another single player. The course has many characteristics from holes with water, of course sand traps, awesome doglegs, ba…

I recently had the absolute pleasure of playing one of the finest 18-hole golf courses I've ever experienced- and it wasn't just the immaculate fairways, or the perfectly contoured greens that made it unforgettable. It was the entire atmosphere. From the moment you arrive the clubhouse welcomes you with warm hospitality, the staff greets you with a smile, and everything runs like clockwork. Rocky River is as good at it gets. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Cart path only, although the course is completely dry. Hotdogs, sandwiches, and snacks are advertised multiple times on the course, but when you actually go into the single wide they don’t have anything but two small bags of chips, crackers, and peanuts. We even called on the 8th hole to make sure they had hotdogs and sandwiches.

Disgrace. The club house has been under repair for (what feels like) a century so they serve only hot dogs & turkey sandwiches out of a make shift trailer home, and then charge $80 for a February round while the course is saturated. This place really was a staple for public golf in CLT & the demand has really gotten to them. Quality down & prices up, but don’t need to change so long as every weekend is fully booked.

This is one of my favorites in the area. It is good value for always being in pretty good shape and it's a fun mix of holes. My only complaint is that the water coolers on the course are disgusting, as in there is literally black stuff on the spouts. Update: I played again today and the water coolers were all very clean. Thanks!

Beautiful course but no bathrooms?? My husband and I were golfing Friday, 9/12 and the clubhouse was already closed when we made the turn (around 5:30/6??). Asked a worker (believe his name started with a J) and he promised there was a porta potty on hole 4 and 13. Well we had already passed hole 4 and didn’t see a bathroom so we drove through and went on to hole 13 (leaving the people we were playing with behind) and NO bathroom. Went back to said worker and he swore there was a bathroom and we must’ve just missed it so we drove back out there again!!! And still no bathroom. We had to leave t…

The course was in great shape. A fun track with some excisting holes. Played it right after a rain storm and while wet, it drained well and greens were still quick. The most impressive thing was the customer service. I played a round while on a work trip and didn't realize I left my range finder at the course until I returned home. I called and spoke with Jonathan, who not only had the range finder, but offered to ship it back to me. He even looked to find the cheapest shipping method possible. You can't ask for anything more. Great stuff all around.

Course in great condition. However, they chose to play cart path only despite not a single wet spot on the playing portion of the course. Makes the round totally unenjoyable when the course backs up because everyone is having to walk to find balls. Would have been quicker to simply walk instead of ride.5 hour round.

Course is a very fun layout. Difficult par 3’s. Greens were fast and smooth! Neat driving range right next to the Speedway. Played April 1, 2023. I would recommend this course, if in the area. Five stars for value, layout, and greens being in excellent condition.
