In summary

Warrior Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful setting, well-maintained course, and fast, true greens, which many consider among the best in the Charlotte area. The staff is noted for being friendly and accommodating, and the clubhouse offers good dining options. However, some visitors have experienced delays and slow pace of play, with reports of insufficient course management and lack of a ranger to enforce tee times.

It's important to note, the entire area is in a drought. However, the driving range was one of the worst I've ever seen. More divots than grass. Didn't get to tee off until 25-30 minutes past our tee time. Play alot of courses all over the country, could not tell you the last time I've run into this. Very poorly managed. The layout is good and from what I hear, course is typically in pretty good shape. Greens were running well. No beverage cart which is crazy; even for some waters or Gatorade. Some blind tee shots and always want to make sure we are caring for the group in front but the GPS wa…

Updated 2025 Review: Still some of the best greens in the Charlotte area, hands down. These things are in great shape and faster than any other course around. I moved my rating to 3 stars simply because there is absolutely no course management on behalf of the club. Tee times are piled in 8 minutes apart and it’s not uncommon to see 3-4 groups waiting on some holes throughout your round. Two weeks ago, 9 holes took us 3:30. Last weekend, we were on pace for a 5:30 round which is absolutely horrendous (I quit after 12 holes due to slow play). There is no ranger or started on the course so it’s…

Laid eyes on this golf course for the first time had a wonderful reception. Richard at the pro shop was just a gentleman I teed off in the afternoon. The piece of play was absolutely amazing. I played the front nine and 50 minutes by myself, tea selections, and challenging for all levels. Greens were fast and true fairways were a little hard, but it’s to be expected. It’s July and it was about 98°. What was missing rough you guys have no rough at all. I mean I wasn’t in much of it but I didn’t see much rough. It looks like he cut it down to build it back, but the course is in phenomenal shape.…

5 stars! Beautiful course very well maintained. Must play! Pros:* Beautiful lake setting makes every hole something to see *Fast greens. Hard but very receptive. *Nice club house, very friendly staff, full bar and good food. *5 stars practice facilities *GPS on carts Cons: *Tough pin placements make 3 putts inevitable. *Long par 3's on the back will make you wish you played a different tee box *Gps in cart doesn't tell you where you can't go until you're there. Some of the cart tires were very bald.

I've always heard good things about this course and finally got the chance to make a visit and see for myself. The Warrior golf course is beautiful through and through, and very well taken care of. All of the tee boxes, fairways, greens, and even bunkers are about as nice as you can ask for. It is a little more than I would like to pay for a round, but the value is there to back it up. I'll definitely be back to play here soon.

Alright, listen up, buttercups! Your favorite golf guru (and professional joke teller, at least according to my kids' eye-rolls) is here to give you the lowdown on The Warrior Golf Club in China Grove, North Carolina. Grab a seat, maybe a cold one, and prepare to chuckle, groan, or maybe both – that's the dad guarantee! So, I packed up the clubs – they were really putter-ing around the garage – and headed over to Warrior. First impression? The place looked up to par! Ha! See what I did there? Right off the bat! Walking onto the first tee, I thought, "Okay, self, let's not drive ourselves crazy…

Played here two months ago on a Sunday with a 9AM tee time. The course is fantastic. The staff was awesome. The greens are what I call florida quick. Note ... the practice green does not represent the greens. Cart girl made many appearances. The not so good ... the group in front of us had two players late and didn't tee off until our tee time. As a result it was bunched up the whole front nine. Sunday golf in Charlotte can be insane and I didn't see any staff out there moving people along or enforcing pace of play.

I just got done playing it today it rained pretty good so it was car path only which wasn't so bad at all. It was still fast as far as I was concerned but I would like to play it when it's dried out my friends say it's very very fast and I believe it

Greens rolled great. Had very tuff pin placements, and that's what we like. My buddy got an ace on #8 with 47° weather and cutting wind. Was awesome!

Very nice course. Well maintained. Carts have built-in GPS, hole descriptions and yardages. Nice bar and grill. Better than the average public course IMHO.

Perfect condition, greens fast and true, fairways like most minis greens, tee boxes FLAT. Leafs kept in rough. Staff polite, friendly, and helpful. Beers $4. Practice facility in great shape slightly faster than course (helpful). Worth every penny, but in the the middle of nowhere, a good drive but worth it. Make sure you plan to finish before 3 pm. Great place ,would recommend to anyone (multiple tees to cover all levels) not for beginners, would slow play down to much. Had FUN will go back soon.
